You will support B2B clients through the entire API integration lifecycle, from sandbox testing to go-live and ongoing technical support. Additionally, you will investigate integration issues, analyze system behavior, and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to resolve complex technical problems.
At Altery, we're building products that make finance feel seamless in a fragmented world. We build the technology that helps businesses and people move money across borders, currencies and digital assets, without the friction. Behind every simple payment is a complex system, and a team that makes it work. We look for people who enjoy solving difficult problems, challenge each other with respect and care about doing great work.
We're now looking for a Technical Integration Specialist to join our Customer Operations team. Your primary focus will be supporting B2B clients integrating with our payments and card solutions through APIs from sandbox testing and technical onboarding to go-live and ongoing support. You'll work directly with clients' technical teams, investigate integration issues, and collaborate with Engineering and Product to resolve complex problems.
Must-haves
Hands-on experience in API integrations, technical implementation, application support, systems analysis, or a similar technical role.
Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods and status codes, JSON, and common authentication methods.
Practical experience working with API integrations, either implementing third-party APIs or supporting clients integrating with an API-based platform.
Experience using Postman or similar tools to test and troubleshoot APIs, and confidence working with technical documentation such as OpenAPI/Swagger.
Working knowledge of SQL, databases, logs, and monitoring tools for technical troubleshooting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues independently.
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external clients and developers.
English proficiency with confidence communicating directly with clients.
Nice to have
Experience supporting B2B client integrations, including sandbox testing, technical onboarding, and go-live.
Experience in fintech, payments, card issuing, crypto, or API-based SaaS products.
Familiarity with webhooks, idempotency, rate limiting, and API versioning.
Experience with tools such as MySQL, MongoDB, Grafana, Graylog, Sentry, GitLab, Jira, or similar.
Experience investigating production incidents or supporting high-availability systems.
Basic scripting skills in Python or JavaScript.
How you work
You take ownership: you follow technical issues and integrations through to resolution, keeping clients informed along the way.
You think analytically: you investigate problems, connect the dots, and look for root causes rather than simply escalating tickets.
You communicate clearly: you're comfortable working with developers, business stakeholders, and clients with different levels of technical expertise.
You're curious: you enjoy learning new technologies, improving processes, and using AI and automation thoughtfully.
Support B2B clients integrating with Altery's APIs, from initial sandbox testing through go-live and ongoing technical support.
Guide clients' technical teams through API documentation, authentication, request and response structures, webhooks, and error handling.
Investigate API integration issues, analyse failed requests and system behaviour, and coordinate resolutions with Engineering when needed.
Validate integration scenarios, support testing of new functionality, and help ensure clients are ready for production.
Monitor live integrations, troubleshoot technical issues, and keep clients informed throughout the resolution process.
Investigate technical incidents across Altery's platforms using databases, logs, and monitoring tools, escalating complex issues when required.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Operations, and external partners to resolve problems and improve technical processes.
Improve API documentation, integration guides, and internal knowledge resources based on recurring issues and client feedback.
Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, automation, and the overall integration experience.
