About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer II to join a growing Managed Services Provider (MSP). This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys working across infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, Microsoft 365 environments, and customer support.
In this role, you will serve as a technical resource supporting a diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include infrastructure deployments, cloud migrations, systems administration, troubleshooting, and project delivery. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with clients, and supporting a wide range of technologies.
This is a hands-on engineering position and is not a software development role.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Deployment & Administration
Configure, deploy, and maintain firewalls, switches, and wireless networking solutions.
Deploy and support Windows Server environments, virtual infrastructure, and cloud-based services.
Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Monitor and optimize IT infrastructure for performance, reliability, and security.
Microsoft 365 & Modern Workplace
Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity management, Conditional Access, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
Manage devices through Microsoft Intune, including policies, application deployment, and Windows Autopilot.
Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
Cloud & Virtualization
Assist with cloud migrations and hybrid infrastructure projects.
Manage and optimize VMware and Hyper-V environments.
Support Azure-based workloads and cloud services.
Client Support & Project Delivery
Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for client environments.
Resolve escalated issues related to networking, infrastructure, security, and end-user systems.
Participate in and lead infrastructure projects, technology upgrades, and modernization initiatives.
Work directly with clients to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Documentation & Process Improvement
Maintain accurate technical documentation and client environment records.
Develop and follow best practices for system administration and security.
Identify opportunities to improve stability, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
3+ years of Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Senior IT Support experience.
Previous experience in an MSP, IT Services, or Managed Support environment preferred.
Strong experience with Microsoft technologies including:
Windows Server
Microsoft 365
Entra ID (Azure AD)
Microsoft Intune
Experience with networking technologies including firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, and wireless networking.
Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
Strong troubleshooting and customer support skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and support requests.

Work Environment
Fully remote position.
Candidates must be comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with clients and team members in a virtual environment.
