About ANNA

ANNA (Allied Network for Neurodevelopmental Advancement) is a mission-driven organization providing diagnostic evaluations, naturalistic NDBI-based ABA, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and feeding therapy to young autistic children (under the age of 6) and their families using a neurodiversity-affirming approach. We have multiple centers across Massachusetts (7 and growing!) and are looking for an experienced licensed psychologist to lead our diagnostic evaluation service and the psychometrist team that delivers it.

Position Overview

The Supervising Psychologist leads ANNA's Massachusetts diagnostic evaluation service for children 4 and under referred for suspected autism spectrum disorder. ANNA delivers evaluations through a psychometrist model: psychometrists administer the standardized assessment battery in person at ANNA centers, and the Supervising Psychologist works remotely to train and supervise them, review assessment data, formulate the diagnostic impression, finalize reports with ANNA's AI-assisted report tooling, and deliver feedback sessions to families over telehealth.

This role serves as the licensed psychologist of record for every evaluation delivered under the model and is responsible for building the psychometrist team's clinical capability as it grows. Conducting evaluations directly is available to the psychologist at their discretion; the core of the role is clinical oversight, diagnostic judgment, report quality, and the family feedback experience. The role reports to the CEO.

Success in this role will be measured by diagnostic access and timeliness, report quality and turnaround, psychometrist fidelity, family experience, and documentation that supports clean claims.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

Diagnostic Formulation & Reporting

  • Review developmental history, caregiver interview data, and psychometrist-administered assessment results (e.g., ADOS-2, developmental and adaptive measures) to formulate differential diagnoses for children 4 and under, distinguishing autism from language, developmental, and behavioral presentations

  • Serve as the licensed psychologist of record: make the diagnostic determination, sign the evaluation report, and hold clinical responsibility for every evaluation delivered under the psychometrist model

  • Draft, review, and finalize evaluation reports using ANNA's AI-assisted report tooling, ensuring every report is clinically accurate, meets payer medical-necessity standards, and reads clearly to families and referring providers

  • Identify cases where the collected data is insufficient for a confident determination and direct additional assessment, re-administration, or direct psychologist involvement

  • Conduct evaluations directly, via telehealth or in person, when it serves a family or the schedule

Family Feedback & Partnership

  • Lead feedback sessions over telehealth, delivering diagnostic results with clarity, warmth, and neurodiversity-affirming framing

  • Translate findings into concrete next steps across ANNA's services (NDBI, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, feeding therapy) and community resources, so families leave with a plan

  • Meet caregivers where they are emotionally, answering questions, addressing uncertainty, and following up when a family needs more time with the results

  • Partner with the intake team so families move from feedback to services without gaps, and respond to referring provider questions when clinical context is needed

Psychometrist Training & Supervision

  • Train psychometrists on administration and scoring of ANNA's assessment battery and onboard each new psychometrist as the team grows

  • Conduct regular fidelity checks of psychometrist sessions through recordings or live observation, and coach to a consistent administration standard across centers

  • Serve as the supervising licensed psychologist for the psychometrist team, consistent with Massachusetts licensing requirements and payer supervision standards for technician-administered testing

  • Run weekly case review and scoring QA with the psychometrist team; set documentation and administration expectations

  • Inform the psychometrist hiring profile and contribute to candidate assessment in partnership with the CEO and Talent Acquisition

Quality, Fidelity & Compliance

  • Own the clinical integrity of ANNA's diagnostic evaluation protocol: battery selection, administration standards, scoring, and report structure

  • Ensure evaluation documentation supports clean claims and withstands payer audit for psychological and developmental testing services

  • Maintain full adherence to HIPAA, Massachusetts licensing regulations, and payer requirements, including evolving telehealth standards

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the evaluation model, including how AI tooling fits into report drafting and review, and flag where the tooling needs to change

Qualifications

Required

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical, counseling, or school psychology

  • Active, unrestricted Massachusetts psychologist license

  • 3+ years conducting autism diagnostic evaluations for young children, including ADOS-2 administration and interpretation

  • Experience delivering diagnostic feedback to families of young children

  • 1+ years of experience training or supervising testing staff (psychometrists, technicians, practicum students, or postdoctoral fellows)

  • Ability to work effectively with AI-assisted report drafting and review tools, with the clinical judgment to validate and correct their output

  • Comfort with telehealth delivery and a HIPAA-compliant remote work setup

  • Strong written communication; reports that are precise for payers and readable for families

Preferred

  • Credentialed with MassHealth and major Massachusetts commercial payers

  • Experience building or supervising a psychometrist or technician-delivered testing model

  • Experience with telehealth-adapted autism assessment (e.g., TELE-ASD-PEDS)

  • Familiarity with neurodiversity-affirming diagnostic practice and NDBI

  • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

  • Experience in a high-growth or startup environment

If you don't meet every preferred qualification, we still encourage you to apply.

Ideal Candidate

You are an experienced diagnostic psychologist who finds the most meaning in two moments: helping a family understand their child, and building a team that delivers that understanding consistently. You are comfortable holding clinical responsibility for work you supervise remotely, and you set a high bar for administration fidelity and report quality while coaching with warmth. You treat AI-assisted tooling as leverage for your judgment and know exactly where to check its work. You are energized by shaping how a growing organization delivers diagnostic care, from protocol to psychometrist training to the family feedback experience.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

ANNA is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to an inclusive environment where all team members can thrive. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.

Why ANNA?

At ANNA, we are working to transform autism care by combining rigorous clinical training, compassionate family-centered practice, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. Our naturalistic NDBI model supports each child's strengths through play-based, developmentally informed care, and our diagnostic evaluation service is often a family's first step into that care. As Supervising Psychologist, you will shape how Massachusetts families receive a diagnosis and what happens next.
