About the Position:


The Strategic Partnership Manager serves as the primary point of connection between Swyfft and its carrier, reinsurance, and distribution partners across the Homeowners, Commercial, and Flood segments. In this role you will be responsible for owning multiple carrier relationships from end to end including product design and implementation through ongoing service, compliance, audits, reporting, and identifying new capacity opportunities to support business growth.

 

The ideal candidate is proactive and understands the importance of relationship management. They are comfortable participating in technical product discussions, underwriting conversations, and regulatory/compliance matters.

 

*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity that can be based in one of the following states only: AL, AZ, FL, GA, KY, LA, MA, MO, NC, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.


Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.


Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)

  • Serve as the primary liaison with carrier partners on product implementation and capacity management.
  • Develop and maintain product specifications for the development team, translating business and underwriting requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Manage the ongoing life cycle of product updates, ensuring changes are communicated and implemented accurately across systems and partners.
  • Manage underwriting guidelines in coordination with sales and underwriting teams, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Lead implementation and ongoing maintenance of policy forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with carrier and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and follow up on carrier and regulatory audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
  • Oversee state insurance department inquiries and manage the required DOI (Department of Insurance) reporting.
  • Design and manage reports that monitor the health and success of each carrier relationship.
  • Present quarterly results to the carrier and their panel of reinsurers.
  • Coordinate with brokers to compile and produce information needed for annual reinsurance submissions.
  • Respond to broker and reinsurer requests specific to each program.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for additional capacity, whether through new carriers, new products, or new geographies.

  • A strategic thinker who is comfortable managing the day-to-day details of product implementations, audits, reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • A strong communicator who can clearly explain complex insurance, underwriting, and technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to evaluate reporting data, identify potential concerns, and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborative and able to work effectively across sales, underwriting, product, compliance, and development teams.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and motivated to identify new opportunities that support capacity and business growth.


Some Requirements:

  • Experience in carrier management, program management, or product management within the P&C insurance industry (Homeowners, Commercial, and/or Flood experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of underwriting guidelines, policy forms, and insurance product lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with reinsurance submission processes and broker relationships.
  • Experience interfacing with regulatory bodies (DOI) and managing compliance/audit processes.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear specifications for development teams.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and project coordination skills.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience


Computer Skills:

  • MS Office suite
  • Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack)


Other:

  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
  • Designated quiet work from home space.

 

Actual compensation for this position will vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The range reflects annual compensation (as applicable) and does not include bonuses or other incentives that the company may choose to pay at its sole discretion.
