Staff Product Manager, Network Observability 

We’re looking for a Staff Product Manager to join our Product Management team, based anywhere in Canada, reporting to the VP, Products. You’ll own the strategy, roadmap, and customer outcomes for Infoblox Observability’s Network Monitoring System (NMS), formerly Kentik’s NMS. Kentik joined Infoblox through a strategic acquisition and forms the foundation of our observability portfolio. 

Help define the next generation of human-directed network operations. 

NMS provides foundational monitoring and telemetry from network devices, helping customers understand what is connected and whether their infrastructure is available, healthy, and performing as expected. You’ll lead its evolution from device monitoring and data collection into a modern platform for understanding infrastructure, diagnosing problems, and helping network teams operate with greater speed and confidence. 

A new context for network operations. 

Kentik brought deep visibility into network traffic, performance, and behavior. Infoblox adds authoritative context about network identity, infrastructure, DNS, IP addresses, and the assets behind them. Together, these capabilities create an opportunity to give network teams something they have historically lacked: a connected understanding of what exists, what is happening, and why. NMS is a critical part of that foundation, connecting device and infrastructure telemetry with the broader observability platform. You’ll shape a product with an established customer base, real-world scale, and significant room to innovate—working closely with Engineering, customers, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to turn network-operations needs into focused product priorities and measurable outcomes. 

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do 

• Own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for NMS as part of network observability, shaping a modern experience for increasingly hybrid, cloud-connected networks 
• Engage directly with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to identify unmet needs, product gaps, and opportunities for differentiated value 
• Grow our lead in understanding of network operations and customer workflows, translating customer, market, competitive, and technical insights into clear priorities, requirements, and measurable outcomes 
• Make network discovery, topology, and monitoring continuously useful, helping teams move from “something is broken” on a map to understanding what changed, why it matters, and what to investigate next 
• Bring network data together into a coherent operational experience, spanning SNMP, streaming telemetry, configuration, topology, performance, flow, and other signals 
• Continue developing our proactive network operations capabilities using Infoblox’s AI products across the Observability as well as entire Infoblox product suite 
• Make pragmatic trade-offs across customer value, technical feasibility, resources, deployment and operational simplicity, and long-term product direction 
• Translate customer, market, and technical insights into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, priorities, and success measures 
• Drive prioritization for a rapidly evolving product area with an established customer base and competing customer requests 
• Use product data, customer feedback, market context, and competitive insight to guide decisions and measure outcomes 
• Drive alignment and prioritization across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, and executive stakeholders, using customer feedback, product data, experimentation, and market context to guide decisions 
• Use AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate product discovery and decision-making 

Be Prepared — What You Bring 

• 10+ years experience in networking, network operations, observability, infrastructure, analytics, or another related technical field, with at least 5+ years of experience in product management 
• Strong working knowledge of networking concepts, network devices, operational workflows, and the needs of network operations teams 
• Ability to take ownership, operate independently, and translate ambiguous problems and diverse customer requests into focused strategy, roadmaps, and actionable requirements 
• Comfort using data, metrics, customer insight, experimentation, and product analytics to inform decisions 
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, customers, and executive stakeholders 
• Familiarity with AI-enabled products and tools, along with the ability to speak thoughtfully about how AI is changing product development and customer expectations 
• Intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, accountability, and a team-oriented approach 
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience 

Be Successful — Your Path 

First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals. 

Six Months:  

• Build trusted partnerships across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Support, becoming the go-to product leader for the NMS business 
• Use the product’s established customer base, proven network monitoring foundation, and deep networking technology to prioritize solutions for key customer pain points, product gaps, and opportunities for differentiated value 
• Develop a deep understanding of the networking, observability, infrastructure, security, AI, and competitive landscape, enabling informed product and investment decisions within Infoblox’s broader strategy 

One Year:  

• Deliver measurable customer value through new capabilities, usability improvements, and product enhancements while balancing the needs of a proven product with opportunities to define its next chapter 
• Execute successfully against the product roadmap while balancing customer requests, technical investments, resource constraints, and long-term strategic priorities 
• Increase customer confidence and stakeholder alignment by establishing a clear product vision and transparent decision-making framework for the NMS portfolio as part of Infoblox’s broader observability and security strategy 
• Position NMS for continued growth by driving innovation across modern SaaS capabilities, AI-enabled experiences, and broader observability platform integration, using the resources and expertise of a global technology company
