Job Description Summary

The Patient Services Senior Program Manager is responsible for the day-to-day support of the Patient Services Program(s) through project management and team and stakeholder alignment of current and future initiatives. This position supports the Patient Services & Reimbursement Team through collaboration and partnership to ensure consistency and optimal support to our patients and HCPs. This role serves as a senior strategic leader and subject matter expert responsible for driving operational excellence, program governance, cross-functional execution, and continuous process improvement across patient services and reimbursement programs. The individual will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing data-driven insights, strategic recommendations, risk mitigation planning, and oversight of key business initiatives impacting patient access and support services.

Job Description

• Day to day support for the Patient Services team to include organizational oversight for patient service team and activities
• Serve as project management lead for all patient service activities including, but not limited to working with stakeholders to identify deliverables, meeting management and note generation, track timelines and provide recurring updates to internal leadership as necessary on status and risks of the programs
• Main point of contact for third parties supporting patient services programs including but not limited to: agency support and patient material vendors
• PO and Invoice tracking and management for all patient services programs
• Management of patient support materials through the promotional resource committee (PRC) in partnership with SMEs and agencies for development of content, draft review with stakeholders, submission and tracking of internal PRC workflows, communication of newly approved materials to key stakeholders, and tracking of expiry materials for compliance
• Work with IT and system teams to ensure pull through of patient service materials and roll out with end users for the patient services vendors
• Lead enterprise-level program planning, governance, prioritization, and execution of strategic patient services initiatives across multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
• Provide strategic oversight and performance management for external vendors, HUB partners, including KPI and SLA management.
• Own budget forecasting, accrual management, expense tracking, and financial planning activities for patient services programs.
• Develop executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and business reviews to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Lead root cause analyses, risk assessments, and complex issue resolution efforts.
• Serve as the business lead for process optimization, operational excellence, and change management initiatives.
• Function as an expert subject matter expert in reimbursement, patient access, affordability, and patient support operations.

• Excellent written and verbal skills and being comfortable providing feedback to staff and/or vendors managed; express opinions and information in a clear, concise and respectful manner.
• Must possess excellent problem-solving abilities through application of process mindset and analytics translated to insights and actions along with intellectual curiosity and strong collaboration skills
• Must be conscientious, detail-oriented and highly organized with strong project management skills.
• Must understand benefit designs, payer processes, prior authorization and appeal processes
• Expert analytical problem solver with demonstrated ability to transform complex operational and reimbursement data into strategic recommendations and executable solutions.
• Expert in patient services operations, reimbursement support models, affordability programs, specialty pharmacy operations, and HUB services.
• Mastery in cross-functional leadership, executive communication, stakeholder influence, and program governance.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence decisions without direct authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in patient services, reimbursement, access, affordability programs, HUB operations, or related pharmaceutical support services, including leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives. Rare disease experience strongly preferred.
• Master’s degree, MBA, PMP certification, or equivalent advanced professional designation preferred.
• Must be willing to travel and work long and/or irregular work hours as necessary. This position supports rare diseases, so dedication to helping improve patient lives is necessary

The expected base pay range for this position is $138k – $221k. Please note that base pay offered may vary depending on factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable program. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion.
