You will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter.  The Program Analyst SME provides on‑call support to proposal teams by serving as a color reviewer during key capture and proposal development milestones. This role ensures that capture strategy, solution messaging, and proposal content are aligned with customer requirements, evaluation criteria, and competitive positioning. The reviewer provides objective, high‑value feedback based on industry best practices, market understanding, and proposal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in assigned color team reviews (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold) for proposals and capture deliverables.
  • Evaluate proposal sections for compliance, clarity, persuasiveness, and alignment with the capture strategy.
  • Review draft content against customer requirements, solicitation documents, and evaluation criteria.
  • Provide written and verbal feedback that is constructive, actionable, and focused on improving content quality and win probability.
  • Identify gaps, risks, inconsistencies, and opportunities for strengthening the proposal narrative.
  • Assess the integration of win themes, discriminators, customer hot buttons, and competitive intelligence.
  • Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and Capture Lead to ensure feedback is understood and implemented appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all materials and adhere to internal proposal development processes and timelines.
  • Participate in virtual review sessions as scheduled, sometimes on short notice.

The likely salary range for this position is $39,100 - $52,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees. To ensure our employees are able to protect their income, other offerings such as short and long-term disability benefits, life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance are provided or available. We regularly review our Total Rewards package to ensure our offerings are competitive and reflect what our employees have told us they value most.
