The Job

The Senior Acquisition and Onboarding Lead owns the end-to-end acquisition-to-onboarding journey system across Sponsorship acquisition channels, ensuring a consistent sponsor experience that builds trust, clarity, and early connection. The role strengthens acquisition enablement and sponsor trust by equipping channel and service partners with messaging frameworks, training, and readiness materials that represent Sponsorship accurately, consistently, and in alignment with safeguarding and policy requirements. In partnership with Product, Digital, Analytics, Evidence/Impact, and Programming stakeholders, this leader drives measurement, test-and-learn optimization, and continuous improvement, translating insights into prioritized improvements to the early sponsor experience to reduce early churn.

Responsibilities

  • Keep Christ central in individual and corporate life; actively participate in and contribute to the spiritual disciplines of the organization (Christian conduct, chapel, prayer, worship, devotions, and leadership of devotions); incorporate WV Core Values into decisions within scope of role.
  • Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.
  • Define onboarding strategy, segmentation, and success measures; maintain a sequenced roadmap of initiatives (touchpoints, content, and experience improvements) that reduce early churn and improve first-year engagement.
  • Translate sponsor journey requirements into clear briefs, acceptance criteria, and decision points for Creative, Digital/Product, and channel partners; establish lightweight governance to ensure priorities are scoped, sequenced, and ready for execution.
  • Lead acquisition enablement by developing, governing, and evolving channel-facing messaging frameworks and training (e.g., message grids, FAQs, talk tracks, proof points, and safeguarding-aligned guidance); drive partner adoption to improve consistency and accuracy in how Sponsorship is represented.
  • Partner with Evidence/Impact and Programming stakeholders to steward sponsor-facing expectations and claims, ensuring acquisition and onboarding content is credible, evidence-informed, and aligned to the Sponsorship promise (including appropriate expectations for child, community, and timing).
  • Establish and govern onboarding measurement (in collaboration with Analytics) including early cancellation rates (30/60/90), sponsor first-year churn metrics, engagement leading indicators, and new sponsor sentiment; synthesize insights and root causes by channel/segment to drive decisions.
  • Design and run test-and-learn plans for onboarding improvements (e.g., messaging, channel-specific treatments, and timing), partnering with channel owners to implement experiments and scale what works.
  • Coordinate readiness for onboarding changes, including stakeholder alignment, documented processes, service channel enablement, and change communications; proactively identify and mitigate risks that could create sponsor confusion or dissatisfaction.
  • Maintain and evolve documentation and playbooks for acquisition enablement and onboarding (journey maps, templates, standards, decision logs, and launch checklists) to support repeatable execution, partner self-service, and compliance alignment.
  • Partner with acquisition channel leaders and Sponsor Care/Service teams to align onboarding promises with operational reality; incorporate front-line feedback to improve content, guidance, and experience quality.
  • Represent Sponsor Experience/Sponsorship Product Marketing in cross-functional forums as assigned, advocating for early-journey priorities and surfacing risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
  • Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of corporate goals, objectives, organizational announcements, and activities. Reference and follow organizational policies and procedures, seeking clarity as needed.
