Quickbase is seeking a motivated and systems-oriented Senior General Ledger Accountant to join our Accounting team. This individual will play an important role in general ledger accounting, the monthly close, accounting operations, and financial process improvements.

The position will initially support several areas across accounts payable, cash, payroll, fixed assets, expenses, intercompany accounting, and other close-related activities. The ideal candidate combines a strong accounting foundation with curiosity, sound judgment, and an interest in systems, automation, and scalable processes. This role requires someone who is comfortable working independently, investigating issues, and partnering across Accounting, Finance, and the broader organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, allocations, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee or support assigned general ledger and operational accounting areas, which may include cash, fixed assets, payroll, accounts payable, employee expenses, tax-related activity, and intercompany accounting.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the procure-to-pay process and help oversee accounting activities and controls associated with Quickbase's internal P2P application.
  • Participate in finance system implementations and enhancements, including testing, issue resolution, documentation, and process design.
  • Oversee or support the Navan travel and expense reimbursement process and help resolve employee expense issues.
  • Review cash reconciliations, investigate reconciling items, and assist with reporting on the company's cash position.
  • Support fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, and related reconciliations.
  • Prepare payroll-related entries, accruals, and reconciliations and investigate accounting differences as needed.
  • Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders during the close to ensure transactions are complete, properly classified, and recorded in the appropriate period.
  • Support accounting for new and existing entities, including reviewing work performed by external service providers and assisting with intercompany entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with tax-related accounting activities, payment coordination, and supporting schedules.
  • Support international accounting activities, including working with foreign entities, external service providers, and related reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a backup for other senior members of the Accounting team, providing coverage and continuity for key accounting processes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate manual accounting activities, using data-analysis and AI-enabled tools where appropriate.
  • Support audits, system projects, and other accounting initiatives, and provide backup support across Accounting and Finance processes as needed.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as the business, systems environment, and Accounting organization continue to evolve.

The Senior General Ledger Accountant will be expected to understand how financial information flows between systems and help investigate and resolve accounting, data, and integration issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
