Job Description: Marketing Operations Specialist

Position Summary
We're looking for a Marketing Operations Specialist who leads with AI, not just uses it. This role sits at the intersection of campaign execution, platform operations, and data quality inside Marketo and our broader MarTech stack.
The difference from a traditional MarOps hire is how work gets done. You'll be expected to use AI tools, prompting workflows, and automation-first thinking to handle what used to require brute-force manual effort. Building campaigns, maintaining data hygiene, troubleshooting integrations, writing copy drafts, generating QA checklists, identifying anomalies in funnel data. You make it sharp, accurate, and ship-ready.
The ideal person here is technically grounded, fast-moving, and genuinely curious about how AI tools are reshaping the way marketing teams operate. You're not waiting for someone to hand you a playbook. You're building one.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Execution and Program Management
- Own end-to-end campaign execution from intake through deployment, using AI to accelerate brief-to-build timelines
- Build and launch emails, landing pages, forms, workflows, scoring, and routing logic in Marketo
- Use AI writing and content tools to draft email copy, subject line variants, and landing page content for team review
- Partner with Field Marketing and Demand Gen to translate campaign briefs into scalable programs
- Manage QA processes across links, rendering, data capture, segmentation accuracy, routing, and tracking (UTMs, attribution)
- Coordinate approvals and ensure on-time, error-free execution
- Support event builds, follow-up sequences, and campaign optimization
Platform Operations and System Health
- Maintain and optimize Marketo program templates, tokens, snippets, and asset libraries
- Use AI-assisted monitoring and alerting to surface Marketo-CRM sync issues, routing errors, and integration failures faster
- Manage user permissions, workspace structure, and governance standards
- Identify and reduce technical debt (unused assets, inefficient workflows), using AI tools to audit at scale
- Support ongoing platform scalability and standardization
Data Quality, Segmentation, and Reporting Support
- Execute data hygiene and enrichment processes (deduplication, standardization, compliance), using AI to flag anomalies and suggest resolutions
- Build and manage targeted segmentation and audience lists
- Validate lead flow accuracy, lifecycle stages, and routing logic
- Support reporting through campaign performance validation and funnel KPI monitoring (MQL, SAL, pipeline influence)
- Use AI summarization tools to generate performance recaps and flag gaps before stakeholder reviews
Governance, QA, and Process Execution
- Ensure all campaigns adhere to global standards (naming, templates, compliance, privacy regulations)
- Maintain and update SOPs, templates, and campaign documentation, using AI to draft and keep docs current
- Enforce campaign intake requirements and data completeness standards
- Support consistency across regions and teams
Continuous Improvement and Special Projects
- Actively identify opportunities to automate manual processes using AI and no-code or low-code tools
- Stay current on AI tools relevant to MarOps (content generation, data enrichment, workflow automation, reporting)
- Support MarTech enhancements, integrations, and optimization initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional projects including lifecycle updates, scoring models, and enrichment programs
Required Skills and Qualifications
Technical
- Hands-on Marketo experience including program builds, execution, and platform administration (not just list management)
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional context (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Jasper, or similar for content, analysis, or operations workflows)
- Strong data management skills; proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM integration
- Familiarity with campaign QA, UTM tracking, and attribution basics

- Execution-focused with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while hitting SLAs
- Problem-solver with both technical and operational instincts
- Strong communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders across time zones
Experience
- 3 or more years of professional experience in Marketing Operations or Marketing Technology
- B2B or technology industry experience strongly preferred; networking, hardware, or software exposure is a plus
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools for work output, not just personal exploration

- Detail-oriented, especially in technically sensitive and data-heavy processes
- Proactive, not reactive. You find and fix the root cause, not just the symptom
- Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working US hours from India on a consistent basis
- Self-directed and able to operate with autonomy in a remote, cross-time zone environment
