Material Security is looking for a Solutions Engineer to support our potential customers across SMB and Commercial Accounts. In this role you will be at the nexus between our potential customer and our sales, engineering, product, and design teams. You'll work cross-functionally in order to provide technical education, guidance, and support in a pre-sales capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions and product demonstrations to showcase capabilities; address customer challenges, respond to questions, and handle objections

  • Spearhead customer evaluations by providing technical guidance, troubleshooting, and expertise to ensure alignment with their specific requirements.

  • Provide guidance on integrating solutions into the customer's existing environment

  • Distill and communicate market needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing and Sales

  • Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure retention and contribute to growth

What we're looking for

  • An authentic, genuine, and approachable individual who is a natural listener, understanding potential customers' challenges with an empathetic mindset for their needs.

  • Inquisitive and eager to learn, consistently seeking to expand their technical skillset and understanding of new tools and technologies.

  • Proactive and vocal, offering opinions and feedback. Willing to improve processes and contribute internally.

  • Confident leading discussions on topics they are familiar with both internally and externally.

  • Keen interest in Email Threat Detection & Response,

  • Technical. With prior experience in a sales, customer-facing, or solutions engineering role.

  • Hands-on experience configuring cybersecurity solutions, including Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, while working with customers in the cybersecurity or cybersecurity-adjacent space.

Compensation at Material Security is determined by a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected base salary range for this position is $150,000-$220,000. The projected salary range is just one component of Material Security’s total compensation package for employees.
