Zensar is looking for a Solution Architect – Data Migration & Analytics in North Carolina This position is open for Full Time with excellent benefits and professional growth opportunities.

 

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to lead a strategic data modernization and report rationalization program for a leading insurance client. The role will drive the design and implementation of a scalable, enterprise-wide data platform leveraging Snowflake, DBT, AWS, and Power BI, supporting both batch and real-time data ingestion while enabling advanced analytics and self-service reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Architecture & Strategy

  • Define and implement the target-state data architecture aligned with business goals for data modernization and reporting transformation.
  • Establish architecture principles, governance models, and design standards across data ingestion, transformation, and consumption layers.
  • Lead the adoption of Medallion Architecture (Raw, Silver, Gold layers) within Snowflake + DBT ecosystem.

2. Data Platform Design & Modernization

  • Architect ingestion of data from 14+ source systems including InsuranceNow, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Design hybrid ingestion patterns: 
    • Batch ingestion from enterprise sources
    • Real-time streaming via Amazon Kinesis
    • Data lake storage in AWS S3
  • Define data modelling strategies: 
    • Canonical models and domain-driven design (aligned with insurance datasets)
    • Optimized analytical data models for reporting

3. Data Engineering & Pipeline Optimization

  • Oversee implementation of efficient, reusable data pipelines using DBT and Snowflake.
  • Drive performance tuning across: 
    • Data ingestion pipelines
    • Transformations across raw → silver → gold layers
  • Establish cost optimization strategies in Snowflake and AWS.

4. Reporting & Analytics Transformation

  • Lead report rationalization initiatives
    • Consolidation and optimization of legacy reports
    • Elimination of redundancy and duplication
  • Architect Power BI ecosystem
    • Semantic data models for self-service BI
    • Support for paginated reporting and advanced slicing/dicing
  • Enable business-friendly data access and analytics democratization

5. AI-driven Governance & Data Quality

  • Introduce AI-enabled frameworks for: 
    • Data audit and reconciliation
    • Balancing and anomaly detection
  • Define enterprise-wide data quality, lineage, and governance standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance domain

6. Integration & Cloud Architecture

  • Define integration patterns across: 
    • Snowflake, DBT, S3, Kinesis, and enterprise applications
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant architecture in AWS cloud environment
  • Establish data security, encryption, and access control mechanisms

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with business, data engineering, BI, and governance teams
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CXO stakeholders on data strategy and investments
  • Drive architecture reviews, design approvals, and roadmap alignment

Required Skills & Experience

 

Technical Expertise

  • 10 – 15+years experience in data and analytics 
  • Strong experience in: 
    • Snowflake (Data Warehousing & Optimization)
    • DBT (Data Transformation Framework)
    • AWS (S3, Kinesis, Cloud Architecture)
  • Proven experience with: 
    • Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Raw, Silver, Gold layers)
    • Real-time & batch data ingestion patterns
  • Deep knowledge of: 
    • Power BI (self-service, paginated reporting, semantic layers)
    • Data modeling (Dimensional & Data Vault)

Domain Expertise

  • Strong experience in Insurance domain, particularly: 
    • Policy, Claims, Billing, Customer data
  • Familiarity with InsuranceNow or similar core systems

Architecture & Leadership

  • Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms
  • Strong background in: 
    • Data governance
    • Report rationalization programs
    • Performance and cost optimization
