Your Future Team

The Loom Integration Platform & Billing Engineering team builds and scales the core monetization, financial subscription workflows, and platform migration services that connect Loom with the Atlassian cloud ecosystem.

Our team enables seamless workspace migrations, powers scalable billing operations and drives monetization experiments that deliver high-impact customer experiences at global scale.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and ship end-to-end features across the stack in a scalable, distributed cloud environment.

• Build high-performing, accessible, and responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript/TypeScript and React.

• Implement robust and scalable backend REST APIs and microservices handling billing, subscriptions, and platform migration pipelines.

• Integrate with payment systems and internal identity/provisioning systems.

• Configure observability, monitoring, alerting, and error reporting to maintain high platform reliability and low time-to-restore.

• Participate in agile software development routines including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-functional technical design reviews.

• Contribute to meaningful code reviews, maintain documentation, and uphold best practices for testing, performance, and security.

Your background:

• 2–4+ years of professional software engineering experience designing, developing, and operating production web applications.

• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js).

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining backend microservices and RESTful APIs using modern languages (e.g., Node.js, TypeScript, Java, or Python).

• Experience with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerized workflows (Docker, CI/CD pipelines).

• Understanding of modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha) and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in a remote-first team setting.

It's great, but not required if you have:

• Experience with billing, payments, subscription platforms, or financial systems.

• Familiarity with developer tools like Github, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence.

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. We follow consistent hiring practices and account for each candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience when setting base pay within the range.

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Pay Ranges

In Canada, for this role, our current base pay range for new hires is:

Canada: CA$117,900 - CA$153,925
