The Role
We are looking for a creative and organised Social Media Manager to take ownership of content planning, social media and campaign execution.
The role will cover social media, content creation, video, copywriting, digital campaigns, email marketing and light design, working closely with the sales and core team to turn ideas into engaging and commercially focused content.
The successful candidate will be comfortable taking an idea from concept through to execution, coordinating the people involved and ensuring content and campaigns are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
Content & Social Media
Plan and manage content calendars across VA Central.
Develop campaign ideas and turn them into completed campaigns.
Research content ideas, trends and formats.
Repurpose ideas across different platforms and content formats.
Write social media copy and captions.
Schedule and publish content.
Manage social media inboxes and engagement.
Create newsletters and other campaign communications.
Monitor campaign performance and use learnings to improve future content.
Video & Content Production
Develop video concepts and research topics.
Write video scripts for the sales and core team.
Film content with team members and assist them with recording.
Edit day-to-day video content.
Brief video editors on more complex projects.
Review video edits and provide feedback before publishing.
Support photography for team and content shoots.
Edit photography where required.
Copywriting
Write social media copy and campaign messaging.
Write video scripts.
Create newsletters and email content.
Write landing page copy.
Write and edit blogs.
Produce ad hoc sales and marketing copy as required.
Website & Digital Campaigns
Build and update landing pages.
Build and manage marketing funnels.
Help map out email sequences and customer journeys.
Set up and work with marketing automations.
Consider the journey from initial content through to becoming a lead.
Review and sign off blog content.
Write blogs where required.
Attend SEO and reporting meetings.
Review SEO recommendations and implement relevant content changes.
Design
Complete light design work when required, including quick-turnaround Canva projects.
Sales & Team Support
Work closely with the sales and core team on content requirements.
Research and write scripts for team members.
Film content with the team and help turn ideas into usable content.
Participate in discovery calls where required.
Support campaigns and projects outside of day-to-day marketing where needed.
Assist with team events and other content-related activities.
Identify and fill content and marketing gaps as they arise.
Campaign Management
Take campaigns from initial concept through to execution.
Keep campaigns on track and ensure deadlines are met.
Coordinate the people involved in creating and approving content.
Ensure content is created, reviewed, approved and published.
Review campaign results and identify what worked and what could be improved.
Apply learnings to future campaigns.
Requirements
Essential
Previous experience in social media management, content marketing, digital marketing, campaign management or a similar role.
Strong copywriting and communication skills.
Experience creating and managing social media content.
Experience with video content creation and basic video editing.
Experience using Canva or similar design tools.
Good understanding of digital marketing and customer journeys.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines.
Experience working with websites, landing pages, email campaigns or marketing platforms.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Desirable
Experience with UK businesses or audiences.
Experience with SEO and content optimisation.
Experience with email marketing and automation platforms.
Experience building funnels and landing pages.
Photography and photo-editing experience.
Experience working with sales teams.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday (between 9am to 6pm) UK Time.
