OUAI is a prestige beauty and personal care brand founded by celebrity hairstylist, Jen Atkin. “OUAI,” means “yes” in that casual Parisian way. The brand is guided by the mission “wherever you go, go all the OUAI” and this bold & playful spirit impacts everything from culture to marketing to product. OUAI’s product categories – ranging from hair care to body care, fragrances, personal care, and merch – are designed to reflect its commitment to easy, effective, and enjoyable self-care.

Since its launch, OUAI has built a strong and growing omnichannel presence through direct-to-consumer channels, specialty beauty retailers, and global distribution partners. The brand continues to expand into new markets, deepen consumer loyalty, and scale its differentiated, high-margin business model internationally. OUAI is recognized for its straightforward approach to beauty, its distinctive fragrance profile, and its ability to meet consumer needs across multiple lifestyle-driven categories. The brand formulates without sulfates or parabens and maintains a commitment to creating high-quality, effective products.

OUAI’s culture is shaped by its ethos—fun, purposeful, and approachable—and is anchored by five Culture Codes:

1. We Aren’t Afraid to Go First.

2. We Don’t Compete, We Collaborate.

3. We Ask Questions to Find the Best Answers.

4. We Keep It Real, in a OUAI That’s Kind.

5. We Go All the OUAI With Work & Play.

OUAI is focused on ongoing category innovation, continued international expansion, and delivering high-quality consumer experiences that reinforce the brand’s identity and long-term growth trajectory.

The Role?

OUAI is looking for a Senior Manager of Digital Design to lead the creative expression of our brand across digital channels. Reporting to the Creative Director and managing a team of three designers, this role will oversee digital design across e-commerce, email, paid media and other digital touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is both a strong creative leader and a highly accountable operator, someone who can translate campaign concepts into innovative digital experiences, establish scalable systems and guide multiple projects from brief through final delivery. They bring a sharp design point of view, understand how creative drives performance and know how to build productive partnerships across Creative, Digital, Growth and Marketing.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

Lead Digital Creative

  • Own the digital expression of the OUAI brand across e-commerce, email, paid media, and other digital touchpoints.
  • Translate campaign concepts and brand strategy into elevated, channel-specific creative that is unmistakably OUAI.
  • Maintain a high bar for design, typography, art direction, motion and overall craft.
  • Ensure digital work feels cohesive across the customer journey while being optimized for the needs of each platform.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve OUAI’s digital design systems and introduce new formats, tools and creative approaches.

Manage and Develop the Team

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of three digital designers.
  • Set clear priorities, delegate work thoughtfully and ensure the team has the context and direction needed to succeed.
  • Provide actionable creative feedback that strengthens both the work and the capabilities of the team.
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented culture with high standards and clear accountability.
  • Support professional development through regular feedback, coaching and growth planning.

Own Projects from Brief to Delivery

  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, balancing seasonal campaigns, product launches and always-on business needs.
  • Partner with Creative Operations to establish timelines, allocate resources and ensure work is delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Proactively communicate project status, risks and dependencies, escalating issues early and bringing forward solutions.
  • Lead complex, high-visibility digital initiatives with minimal oversight.
  • Review final deliverables for creative quality, technical accuracy and channel readiness.

Partner Across the Business

  • Build strong relationships with E-commerce, Growth Marketing, CRM, and Creative Operations.
  • Collaborate with channel partners to understand objectives, audience behavior and performance insights.
  • Balance brand-building and commercial goals to create work that is both distinctive and effective.
  • Present creative work and rationale clearly to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
  • Use performance learnings to inform future creative without losing sight of the brand’s long-term vision.

What You’ll Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in digital design, with experience in beauty, fashion, lifestyle or another highly visual consumer brand preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing designers.
  • A portfolio demonstrating exceptional digital design across e-commerce, CRM, paid media and social.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, UX principles, digital production and platform-specific best practices.
  • Experience developing scalable digital systems that improve consistency and speed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate fast-moving timelines and deliver complex projects.
  • Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a high level of ownership and follow-through.
  • Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with motion design and emerging creative technologies is a plus.
  • A genuine interest in beauty, culture and the evolving digital landscape.

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary Range is $115,000 - $130,000K (based on experience) + potential for yearly bonus
  • Medical + Dental + Vision
