Looking for Philippines-based candidates

Job Role: Social Media & Content Specialist

Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: An Australian fractional marketing partner. We act as the marketing team for businesses that would rather not build one in house, covering social media, content, websites, CRM and campaign delivery across a growing portfolio of clients spanning retail, grocery and local service brands.

The business is scaling quickly and this is the first dedicated delivery hire, which makes it a rare chance to shape how the work gets done rather than inherit someone else’s system.

Role Overview: We're looking for a hands-on Marketing Coordinator to manage content and social media across a portfolio of Australian client brands (currently 6 active accounts). The majority of the role is short-form video and social media execution, supported by AI-assisted content repurposing, Google Business Profile management, and client reporting.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating content, spotting trends, bringing ideas forward, and confidently managing multiple clients and brands at once while working closely with the founder.

You'll use AI tools like Claude to accelerate drafts and strategy, but the job requires a strong attention to detail to check that output for mistakes, generic phrasing, or anything that doesn't sound like the client.

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media (Majority of the role)

  • Utilise AI to create, edit, and schedule short-form video content - TikTok, Instagram Reels, and UGC-style content, across a portfolio of client brands
  • Schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Pinterest; short-form video is the priority over older static-post formats
  • Monitor social inboxes and comments for assigned clients (currently low volume)
  • Track content performance and pull together analytics for client reporting

Content Repurposing (AI-Assisted)

  • Use Claude and similar AI tools to draft social captions, and blog posts, and support ideation, strong copywriting isn't required, the workflow will be taught but a strategic perspective on why the copy is good is required
  • OpusClip to repurpose long-form content into shorts
  • Treat AI output as a first draft, not a deliverable: catch inaccuracies, generic phrasing, hallucinated details, or off-brand tone before anything reaches a client, and refine prompts until the result actually sounds like that client

Content Production

  • Turn supplied raw video and photography into platform-native content suited to each brand and audience -> editing yourself & using AI tools within video editing software to increase output/improve quality of motion graphics etc.
  • Generate video and image assets using tools like Higgsfield (training provided) → Ideally someone who knows how to use AI to edit videos e.g. Claude syncs with Premiere Pro, someone already editing like this is ideal
  • Build Canva graphics and carousels → This would be via Claude Design, the strategy is more important than having design skills, and being able to prompt AI to create high quality graphics (not standard AI look and feel)
  • Edit podcast episodes in Descript (approx. once per fortnight)

Google Business Profile

  • Respond to reviews using a provided script, keep listing hours current, and re-upload relevant social content

Website Support

  • Post provided blog content to client websites using AI workflows
  • Brief and coordinate external web developers on larger changes, keeping projects moving to deadline, this role does not build or code websites

Client Admin & Reporting

  • Draft client performance reports as needed (a few per month; training and template provided)
  • Manage low-risk client inbox queries using provided templates
  • Keep all work organised and visible in Notion across every client account so nothing slips
  • Build and maintain AI agents that will complete repetitive tasks

Proactivity & Trend-Spotting

  • Spot relevant trends and cultural moments early, and bring content ideas forward rather than waiting to be asked       e.g. noticing a trending topic then proactively suggesting and organising a content shoot for the relevant client

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' experience in social media, content, or digital marketing - or a strong portfolio demonstrating equivalent hands-on skill
  • Hands-on short-form video editing experience (TikTok, Reels, UGC-style content) -> Ideally already using AI to improve/streamline video editing
  • Comfortable directing AI tools such as Claude to draft content and support strategy,  and just as importantly, able to spot and correct what the AI gets wrong (factual errors, generic output, off-brand tone) rather than publishing it as-is
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple client accounts and brands at once without anything slipping
  • Proactive and ideas-first - suggests content the client can film rather than waiting for instruction
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excited and willing to learn to use new tools and workflows - full training provided on anything you’re unfamiliar with
  • Experience supporting Australian clients essential

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Notion, Opus Clip, Descript, or Higgsfield
  • Exposure to retail, grocery, or FMCG brands -> Ideally B2C experience is needed though
  • Experience with Google Business Profile management
  • Website/CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, Shopify).
  • Explicitly Not In Scope
  • Website development or build work - this is outsourced externally; the role briefs and project-manages it, but does not build it

Why You’ll Enjoy It

  • Direct working relationship with the founder, with fast feedback and real ownership of the output
  • Genuine creative latitude, your ideas go live rather than sitting in a queue
  • Variety across client industries and formats rather than one brand, one channel
  • First dedicated delivery hire, a rare chance to help shape how the work gets done
  • Room to grow with the business into a broader delivery and operations role as GWZ scales
  • Training and support on any tools or workflows you haven't used before

Tools to Use

  • Core: Notion, Claude, Canva, Premiere Pro/Capcut/Edits (video editing tool), native platform scheduling (Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio, etc.)
  • Training provided: Opus Clip, Descript, Higgsfield, CRM platforms (e.g. GHL, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo).
  • Reporting: Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite

Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor”)

I was the first applicant for a remote marketing position that got listed on the company website the same day I applied. Had an interview within 48 hours!
