Senior Technical Project Manager

A Financial company is seeking experienced Technical Project Managers to support a large-scale Data Center Transformation initiative focused on application modernization and cloud migration. This role will partner closely with Enterprise Architects and application teams to drive migration planning, dependency management, modernization efforts, and execution readiness across a portfolio of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have experience leading large-scale application, infrastructure, or cloud migration programs and be comfortable working with senior technical leaders in a fast-paced, highly visible transformation environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Enterprise Architects to develop and execute application migration strategies.
• Coordinate application modernization and cloud migration planning across multiple business units.
• Drive project timelines, identify risks and dependencies, and remove roadblocks.
• Facilitate discussions between application teams, architects, cloud migration teams, and program leadership.
• Track progress and ensure alignment with overall program objectives.
• Translate Agile team activities into program-level reporting and governance requirements.
• Support dependency mapping, migration sequencing, and execution planning.
• Provide status updates and escalation management for senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of Project Management experience leading complex technology initiatives.
• Experience with large-scale cloud migrations, application modernization, or data center transformation programs.
• Strong technical background with the ability to engage effectively with architects, infrastructure teams, and application teams.
• Proven ability to drive accountability and influence teams without direct authority.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams in large enterprise environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or financial services experience.
• Experience supporting AWS cloud migration initiatives.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture functions and application portfolio management.
• Experience working in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
• Rally experience strongly preferred; Jira experience is a plus.
• PMP, Agile, or SAFe certifications preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.
