About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Bolt Insight and help shape the future of our platform. You'll own design end-to-end — from early discovery and problem framing through to polished, production-ready UI — working closely with Product, Engineering, and Research to deliver experiences that are both deeply useful and genuinely delightful.
This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable in the messy early stages of problem definition and in the precision of high-fidelity delivery. You'll have real influence over how our products look, feel, and function — and you'll help build the design culture we're growing into.
What You'll Be Doing
UX Discovery & Problem Framing — Lead research, journey mapping, and problem definition to uncover real user needs and translate them into clear, actionable design directions.
Design Execution — Define and iterate on user flows, wireframes, and prototypes across web and responsive contexts, through to production-ready UI with meticulous attention to visual detail, interaction quality, and accessibility.
Engineering Collaboration — Work closely with engineers to ensure design intent is carried through to implementation, bridging the gap between what's designed and what ships.
Design System — Contribute to and evolve our design system, maintaining consistency and quality across the platform.
Product Partnership — Work with product managers to shape roadmap decisions with a design perspective, championing the user in cross-functional discussions and reviews.
About You
We're looking for someone with genuine craft and a track record of delivering great product experiences. You care about the details, you can articulate your reasoning clearly, and you know how to navigate a fast-moving environment without losing quality.
You have 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or data/analytics products.
You have a strong portfolio demonstrating the full design cycle — from research and discovery through to high-fidelity UI.
You're deeply proficient in Figma: variables, components, component properties, auto-layout, prototyping.
You have experience contributing to or building a design system from scratch.
Your UX fundamentals are solid: information architecture, interaction design, and user research methods.
Your visual design craft is high — typography, spacing, colour, and the ability to build interfaces that feel intentional.
You have a working understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and how they influence and constrain design decisions.
You bring a rigorous approach to accessibility — WCAG standards, inclusive design patterns, and advocating for all users.
You're familiar with AI-powered product experiences and the challenges of designing for intelligent, dynamic interfaces.
You communicate clearly and can articulate design rationale to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You're comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment where priorities can shift.
Nice to have:
Experience designing data visualisation, dashboards, or research and analytics tools.
Background in conducting or synthesising user research independently.
