WHY this position is of utmost importance to reach our mission

At Pennylane, every decision that is not backed by data is likely to be challenged (when data is available of course). This culture is embraced by the leadership team, and actively promoted everywhere. The role of the data team is to make this possible by treating data like a production asset, making it available company-wide, and using it proactively to improve Pennylane’s user experience.

By joining us as a Senior Product Analyst, you will have a pivotal role in helping Product teams understand how users behave in our product, identify the most important opportunities, and turn those insights into roadmap decisions.

HOW you will contribute to the company

As a Senior Product Analyst, you will be part of the Science & Analytics team focused on Product topics (6+ people), inside the Data department (40+ people).

  • You will help Product teams deeply understand user behaviors across Pennylane’s frontend experiences, using tools such as Amplitude and our data warehouse to identify adoption patterns, friction points, opportunities, and risks.

  • You will turn behavioral data into clear, strategic insights that help Product leaders decide what to build, improve, simplify, or stop.

  • You will be a real sparring partner for Product leaders, feeding their strategy by anticipating the most important questions, framing the right analyses, and translating findings into product roadmap recommendations.

  • You will contribute to developing a stronger product measurement mindset across Product, Design, Engineering, and Data: helping teams define success metrics, clarify what needs to be measured, and think about measurement earlier in the product development process.

  • You will partner with the relevant owners on tracking and implementation when needed, ensuring measurement choices remain pragmatic, actionable, and connected to product decisions.

  • You will contribute to our self‑service approach to analytics by understanding Product partners’ needs and promoting a data‑driven culture. You will contribute directly to data models in the data warehouse (using dbt) used by Product teams.
