📍 Job location: Portugal or Spain (Remote model - 8:00 - 17:00 h)

💵 Compensation: 45 - 50k per year or 280 daily rate

📋 What You'll Architect

As a Senior Power BI Consultant, you will help organisations transform complexity into measurable outcomes by combining technology, data, intelligence, and human decision-making.

This role is both technical and consultative, perfect for someone who can combine Business Intelligence expertise, Power BI development, data modelling, and stakeholder engagement to deliver impactful analytics solutions. We're looking for professionals who think like architects and act like builders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, dashboards, and visual analytics.

• Support BI migration projects, including transitions between Power BI, Qlik, Tableau, and other reporting platforms.

• Gather business requirements and transform them into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.

• Create intuitive and visually compelling dashboards that support business decision-making.

• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy.

• Implement and maintain security models, governance standards, and role-based access controls.

• Optimise Power BI performance, usability, and adoption across business teams.

• Contribute to BI best practices, reporting standards, and analytics governance initiatives.

🛠️ What You Bring

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.

• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Reporting projects.

• Proven experience delivering Power BI solutions in enterprise environments.

• Experience working in client-facing and consulting environments.

• Professional proficiency in English and French..

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong experience with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and advanced visualisation techniques.

• Experience with data modelling, semantic models, and report optimisation.

• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts.

• Understanding of data warehousing principles and reporting architectures.

• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.

• Experience with dashboard design, KPI frameworks, and self-service reporting solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.s.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Qlik, Tableau, or other Business Intelligence platforms.

• Experience supporting BI migration projects.

• Microsoft certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate or related certifications.

• Knowledge of Azure Data Platform services.

• Experience with Data Governance, security, and access management.

• Experience working on international or multicultural projects.

• Must be a Portuguese or European citizen or have a work permit for Portugal

• Bottom of the range
  You meet the core requirements and will need ramp-up time and support.

• Middle of the range
  You are fully autonomous from Day 1 and deliver consistently.

• Top of the range
  You are a reference for the role, mentor others, and raise the bar for the team.
