About the role
As Daxko's Senior Payroll Administrator, you'll own U.S. payroll from end to end, making sure every teammate gets paid accurately and on time, every time. You'll report to the SVP of People and work closely with People Operations, Finance, and Business Systems to keep payroll running smoothly as Daxko grows. This role suits someone who takes real pride in precision and wants to build a payroll function that people trust.
What you'll do
- Own the full U.S. payroll cycle, managing accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across every federal, state, and local requirement
- Lead payroll operations in UKG, including system configuration, audits, and ongoing optimization
- Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance, including unemployment and income tax filings
- Run year-end payroll close, covering reconciliations, reporting, and compliance deliverables
- Turn payroll data into clear insights, building dashboards and reports that help leaders make better decisions
- Guide payroll integration during acquisitions, keeping systems aligned and transitions smooth
- Serve as the go-to resource for payroll questions, giving employees and internal partners clear, fast answers
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of payroll experience, including end-to-end U.S. payroll processing
- Hands-on experience with UKG Pro
- Strong understanding of U.S. payroll regulations, tax requirements, and compliance
- Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience with UKG People Analytics
- Experience supporting global payroll or Employer of Record (EOR) environments
- UKG Payroll or Administration certification
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification
- Familiarity with ACA reporting tools and JIRA
