The Senior Manager of Pricing supports the execution of pricing strategy across CareTria's pharmaceutical sampling, fulfillment, and logistics services. This role builds and maintains pricing models, prepares client proposals, and helps ensure pricing decisions are accurate, competitive, and compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The Senior Manager of Pricing works closely with Sales, Operations, and Client Services to deliver timely, well-supported pricing recommendations, and partners with the Director of Pricing and Deal Desk Management to align day-to-day pricing activity with broader company goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pricing Execution & Market Support
Build and maintain pricing models and proposals for pharmaceutical sampling, distribution, and support services, in line with company pricing guidelines.
Track market trends, competitor pricing, and customer feedback, and flag opportunities for pricing adjustments to the Director.
Support business performance reviews by preparing margin and profitability analysis for existing accounts.
Help maintain pricing governance documentation to support consistency and audit readiness across service lines.
Operational Support & Cost Accuracy
Prepare accurate, timely pricing proposals for new and existing clients, ensuring alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements specific to pharmaceutical programs.
Incorporate operational and business intelligence data into pricing models to improve cost accuracy.
Identify and recommend process improvements to speed up proposal turnaround and reduce pricing errors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as a pricing resource for Sales and Client Operations teams during client negotiations, providing analysis and guidance within established pricing parameters.
Work with Client Services and Operations to support program-level profitability tracking.
Coordinate with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams to confirm pricing activities meet FDA, PDMA, and other applicable regulations.
Assist Finance and Accounting with revenue recognition, forecasting, and pricing-related reporting requests.
Team Support & Development
Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to pricing analysts, reviewing their work for accuracy and consistency.
Help build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the pricing function.
Support onboarding and training new team members.
Reporting & Financial Support
Maintain accuracy of assigned pricing models and profitability metrics.
Prepare dashboards and reports on pricing effectiveness and client profitability for leadership review.
Support disciplined margin management across assigned client portfolios and service types (direct-to-practitioner, direct-to-patient, fulfillment, and compliance programs).
Escalate pricing risks or trends to the Director of Pricing and Deal Desk Management.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience in pricing, pricing analytics, or deal desk operations..
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in the Life Science industry, healthcare, and/or with some experience mentoring or leading others.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Prior experience in pricing, pricing analysis, or deal desk functions required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Working knowledge of financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
Solid client relationship skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-growth, service-driven environment.
Comfortable working with large and complex data sets; technical and analytical skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work location: Remote, hybrid, or onsite depending on program assignment and geographic location.
Primarily sedentary role with prolonged periods of sitting.
Extensive manual dexterity required: keyboarding, mouse operation, and phone use throughout the workday.
Frequently reaching, handling, and feeling with hands and arms.
Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of items up to 25 pounds.
Sufficient vision to review screen details, system data, documentation, and workflow outputs.
Constant use of phone for communication

The expected base pay range for this position is $100,000–$120,000 per year. The actual compensation for the position may vary based on market differences and on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications and can vary based on location and/or work schedule. In addition to base pay, CareTria offers a comprehensive benefits package.
