How You'll Make an Impact:

The Senior Manager, Operations & Client Analytics, is responsible for leading a team of analysts and delivering timely, accurate analytics, reporting, and performance insights that support Somatus’ operational teams, client partnerships, clinical programs, and financial objectives.

This role serves as a key partner to Operations, Customer Success, Clinical, Finance, Product, Data Engineering, and other stakeholders by translating business needs into well-defined analytic requirements and scalable reporting solutions. The Senior Manager owns a portfolio of recurring reports, dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, enhancements, and internal requests and is accountable for prioritization, delivery timelines, quality, and stakeholder communication.

This is a hands-on leadership role. The Senior Manager will remain technically engaged by writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL when needed; reviewing analytic logic and code; and helping the team resolve complex data and reporting issues. This individual will also develop analysts, manage team workflow and capacity, establish quality controls, and contribute to analytics function planning and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven people leader who combines strong healthcare analytics and technical skills with practical stakeholder management, project delivery, and team-development experience.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, establishing clear expectations, providing timely feedback, and supporting individual development and career growth.
  • Own a portfolio of recurring reports, dashboards, ad-hoc analyses, enhancements, and internal requests supporting Operations, Customer Success, Clinical, Finance, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure reporting commitments and internal requests are completed accurately, within agreed timelines, and in accordance with established requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage team workflow, capacity, and backlog using Jira or similar work-management tools, including intake, prioritization, assignment, status tracking, risk management, escalation, and closure.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, lead requirements-gathering sessions, document definitions and acceptance criteria, and translate business questions into appropriate analytic solutions.
  • Establish delivery plans, ownership, milestones, dependencies, and escalation paths; proactively communicate status, changes in scope, timing risks, data limitations, and competing priorities.
  • Remain hands-on as needed by writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries used for extraction, transformation, validation, investigation, and reporting.
  • Review SQL, Power BI logic, calculations, and analytic methodologies for accuracy, performance, maintainability, and alignment with business requirements.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance practices, including peer review, code review, testing, reconciliation, documentation, metric validation, and stakeholder sign-off where appropriate.
  • Lead or support analyses involving healthcare claims, care management, operational, utilization, engagement, financial, and client-reporting data.
  • Create and oversee executive, operational, internal, and client-facing reports, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommended actions.
  • Partner with Data Engineering and platform teams to improve data availability, data quality, model design, lineage, scalability, governance, and production-reporting reliability.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex data issues, ambiguous requirements, production-reporting defects, and high-priority requests.
  • Establish consistent metric definitions, reporting standards, documentation, reusable assets, and governance practices across the team’s workstreams.
  • Develop and monitor delivery, quality, throughput, capacity, and backlog metrics and use results to improve team performance and stakeholder service.
  • Contribute to analytics function planning, roadmap development, resource forecasting, process improvement, and the balance of reactive requests with proactive analytics.
  • Promote data fluency by educating stakeholders on metric definitions, report interpretation, appropriate data use, and available self-service capabilities.
  • Build a collaborative and accountable team culture grounded in data integrity, customer focus, continuous learning, and high-quality execution.
