Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a commercially sharp, collaborative Senior Legal Counsel to join our established legal team. Working alongside our Director of Legal & Risk and in-house counsels, you will play a key role in driving our B2B commercial deal flow, safeguarding our intellectual property, and managing international expansion across regulated markets. 

In this role, you will collaborate closely with other in-house counsels and cross-functional partners in commercial and product teams. You will take joint and individual ownership of complex B2B license and integration agreements, optimise deal-structuring processes that accelerate revenue, protect our proprietary game assets, and support global compliance efforts as we continue our international growth.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise complex B2B agreements, including license agreements, aggregator agreements, API integration terms and service level agreements

• Partner directly with the commercial team to structure key contractual terms around revenue-share models, platform integration fees, SLA guarantees, and liability limits together with the commercial team

• Proactively identify process improvements and deal-structuring strategies that accelerate contract execution and drive revenue targets without compromising legal safeguards

• Partner with the internal compliance and product teams to monitor evolving regulatory frameworks across key licensed markets

• Handle IP clearance, copyright registrations, trademark filings, and licensing agreements for branded games

• Advise on protecting the company’s core IP assets, including trademarks, game design elements, original audio/art and source code

• Manage IP infringement disputes, cease-and-desist actions, and unauthorised game cloning/scraping

• Work closely with product and tech leads to defend against IP infringement claims and manage trade secret protection

• Advise on international data privacy regulations as they apply to B2B data flows, analytics and platform processing

• Manage relationships with local external legal counsel across multiple overseas jurisdictions to ensure cost-effective delivery of advisory services

• Advise on legal requirements for market expansion, local entity setup, and supplier licensing

• Handle general corporate governance, cross-border corporate structure queries and vendor/employment agreements as required

• Maintain accurate legal records, ensuring proper documentation for any compliance efforts, audits and investigations

Requirements

• Fully qualified lawyer in good standing

• 5+ years of post-qualification experience in-house or at a top-tier law firm

• Minimum 2+ years of direct iGaming experience, specifically within a B2B game supplier or platform aggregator

• Exceptional commercial negotiation skills, pragmatic risk-appraisal and the ability to turn complex legal advice into actionable guidelines

• Demonstrated expertise in B2B software licensing, technology distribution agreements, and IP law

• Ability to balance strict legal risk management with pragmatic, revenue-driving solutions

• Deep understanding of multi-jurisdictional iGaming regulatory landscapes and supplier licensing procedures

• Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively, and taking ownership without needing too much supervision

• Strong communication skills to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal teams

• Fluent in written and spoken professional legal English
