Better Impact is looking for a Senior Full Stack Salesforce Developer to help support and evolve our HandsOn Connect platform. This role works across managed package development, bug fixes, integrations, and the cloud infrastructure that supports key platform functionality.

We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Salesforce Developer who brings deep Salesforce development experience along with the versatility to work across .NET services and Azure infrastructure. You’ll work in Apex and Lightning Web Components, support both legacy and modern Salesforce package architecture, troubleshoot integrations, and help solve the complex technical issues that make their way beyond our Salesforce Admin team.

This is a development role, but it isn’t one where you’ll spend your days isolated from the people using what you build. You’ll work closely with our HandsOn Connect and Customer Experience teams to understand problems, determine the right technical solution, and occasionally support client-specific projects or technical discovery.

If you’re the kind of developer who likes getting into the weeds, figuring out where a problem actually lives, and helping make the systems around you better as you go, you’ll have plenty to dig into here.

What You’ll Do

  • Own complex technical escalations. Take ownership of Tier 3 bugs and technical issues that require development expertise, including Apex and Lightning Web Component fixes and second-generation (2GP) unlocked package development.
  • Build and maintain Salesforce solutions. Work across Apex, LWC, automation, and managed package architecture to maintain and extend the HandsOn Connect platform.
  • Maintain and extend .NET services. Support the C#/.NET aggregator and integration services responsible for syncing data between Salesforce and external systems.
  • Support our Azure infrastructure. Maintain Azure Blob Storage integrations, Azure-hosted APIs, and related cloud infrastructure supporting file storage, geolocation, and other platform functionality.
  • Diagnose before you develop. Determine whether an issue is best solved through Salesforce configuration, code, or an integration fix. You’ll have the Salesforce Admin knowledge to understand the difference and the development expertise to take on the problems that require code.
  • Work across Salesforce package architecture. Support both legacy first-generation (1GP) managed packages and modern second-generation (2GP) unlocked packages, including migration efforts where needed.
  • Partner closely with Customer Experience. Serve as a development-level technical partner for escalated cases, working alongside our CX and Salesforce Admin teams to solve difficult issues and help us continue defining what belongs in Tier 2 versus Tier 3 as we scale.
  • Contribute technical expertise to solutions. Occasionally partner with Sales and Solutions to understand customer requirements, assess technical feasibility, and provide development input for proposed solutions or future builds.
  • Support client-specific technical work. Occasionally contribute to custom, client-facing projects alongside the CX team.

Requirements

You don’t need to check every possible Salesforce box, but you should be able to step into a senior development role and work independently across a fairly varied technical environment.

Salesforce development experience. You have professional experience developing with Apex and Lightning Web Components and are comfortable debugging and maintaining existing Salesforce code.

Strong Salesforce platform knowledge. You understand flows, custom objects and fields, page layouts, permission sets, and automation well enough to recognize when an issue can be solved through configuration rather than development.

C#/.NET experience. You’ve professionally built, maintained, or supported .NET applications or services.

Azure experience. You have working knowledge of Azure and cloud infrastructure, particularly Blob Storage, APIs, and integrations.

Managed package experience. You’ve worked with Salesforce managed package architecture, including 1GP, 2GP/unlocked packages, or migrations between them.

Strong debugging instincts. You can independently work through an issue and determine whether you’re looking at a configuration problem, code-level bug, integration failure, or something else entirely.

Communication skills that match your technical skills. You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical teammates and occasionally with clients. You should be comfortable asking good questions and explaining technical issues clearly and patiently.

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce certifications such as Administrator, Platform Developer I, or Platform Developer II
  • Experience with nonprofit, volunteer management, or other vertical SaaS platforms
  • Experience with Jira-based development workflows and SLA-driven support environments
  • Experience working in a smaller Salesforce or .NET/Azure development environment where you’ve had broad ownership across the stack
  • Prior consulting, sales engineering, or similar experience working directly with non-technical teammates and customers
