The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Project Manager to join our growing team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing the successful post-sale delivery of regulated electrical network infrastructure projects, alongside the management of third-party Point of Connection (PoC) projects.

Leading our Business-as-Usual (BAU) Electric Project Delivery Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with internal teams, customers, contractors and key stakeholders, you will provide strong leadership, drive performance, resolve complex issues and ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.

Beyond project delivery, you will support the Head of Project Delivery with business planning, forecasting, reporting and performance management, helping to achieve departmental objectives and KPIs. Key Responsibilities

  • Line management of the BAU Electric Project Delivery Team in line with company policies

  • Direct management of key BAU Electrical Project to support with team workload, and periods of absence or annual leave

  • Support Head of Technical to implement and maintain the Authorised Connection Provider Process

  • Accountable for ensuring drawing records and documentation are maintained to support the Distribution Safety Rules (DSR) during project build out

  • Responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient team structure in order to meet the business needs for the safe and effective adoption and construction delivery activities of BAU Electric Project Delivery

  • Accountable for the BAU Electric Project Delivery Team delivery of agreed documentation for all areas of the Electrical Delivery Process through to final asset handover

  • Responsible for ensuring BAU Electric Project Delivery supports both Sales and Delivery customer meetings on operational and technical matters including any wider Sales tender activities

  • Accountable for ensuring all BAU Electric Project Delivery design activity is completed by accredited third parties and properly logged and reported in line with Guaranteed Standards of Performance (GSOP)

  • Manage and validate the capital budgets cost allocation against all projects by BAU Electric Project Managers

  • Ensure financial controls are adhered to, including timely purchase order management, invoice review, and variance reporting are being undertaken across all of BAU Electrical Project Delivery

  • Responsible for ensuring that the team manages any issues or defects to resolution using company systems and procedures to meet regulatory standards

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless asset handover with all documentation and contracts in place and that installation standards and pre-energisation commissioning and testing meets or exceeds regulatory requirements

  • Provide ad hoc operational support to the Sales Team and Head of Project Delivery on all BAU Electric Project site enquiries or escalations

  • Implementing robust processes and reporting to identify, report, and mitigate business risks throughout the Project lifecycle

About You

  • 5 years’ experience of managing in a Project Capacity within an ICP or Electrical Infrastructure Company

  • Demonstrable experience of the design and construction of Electrical infrastructure, both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV)

  • A good working knowledge of the Electrical Industry and IDNO process

  • Excellent knowledge of multi utility industry asset standards such as NJUG

  • Commercial contract management experience (or qualifications)

  • Strong people management skills with experience of developing and managing personnel

  • Financial acumen and a track record of adhering to budgets

  • Significant experience and knowledge of H&S management and audits

  • In-depth understanding of regulatory standards applicable to the business and the processes required to be compliant with them

  • Expert knowledge of asset adoption and delivery legal requirements

  • Strong computer and reporting skills
