As the organization continues to scale, our client is seeking a Senior Director of Strategy & Operations to play a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional execution.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Director of Strategy & Operations will serve as a trusted business partner, helping solve the organization's highest-priority operational and strategic challenges.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll lead an established Strategy & Operations team while partnering with leaders across Operations, Product, Engineering, Finance, Client Success, Legal, and People to improve performance, optimize processes, and build a scalable, enterprise-ready organization.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Strategy & Operations team of approximately 10 professionals.
- Partner directly with executive leadership to solve complex operational and strategic challenges.
- Build business cases, financial models, and data-driven recommendations that support key business decisions.
- Drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability across the organization.
- Partner with Operations to streamline workflows, improve processes, and enhance performance.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to translate operational needs into scalable technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve client economics, resource utilization, and overall business performance.
- Establish scalable operating processes, performance metrics, and accountability across multiple business functions.
- Influence senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and execution.
Requirements
Required
- 8-10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, management consulting, or a related field.
- Strong consulting background with experience at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, or BCG strongly preferred).
- Experience leading Strategy & Operations, Business Operations, or Strategic Operations within a high-growth, venture-backed organization.
- Proven success leading, developing, and coaching high-performing teams.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- A hands-on leadership style with the willingness to dive into the details when needed.
Preferred
- MBA or equivalent advanced business experience.
- Experience scaling teams, operations, or organizations during periods of rapid growth.
- Experience working directly with C-suite executives.
- Background in healthcare, logistics, transportation, marketplace businesses, or other operationally complex industries.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other analytical tools.
