This position supports a US-based company. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in their country of residence within Latin America (LATAM).

Role summary

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain automated software delivery and infrastructure processes within a regulated financial services environment.

This role focuses on CI/CD automation, Microsoft Azure, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, systems administration, and software delivery optimization. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Systems Administrators, and Network Engineers to build secure, scalable, and reliable deployment pipelines.

The ideal candidate combines hands-on DevOps engineering capabilities with a strong software development foundation, a passion for automation, and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.

• Support the transition from manual and legacy deployment processes to fully automated CI/CD workflows.

• Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices across software development, infrastructure, and QA teams.

• Integrate security, quality, performance, scalability, and reliability controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)practices.

• Build, manage, and troubleshoot containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments.

• Develop scripts and automation utilities using PowerShell and Bash.

• Build and maintain deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, or similar tools.

• Manage Git repositories and version control workflows, including branching, merging, and code management.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers to troubleshoot, review, and support application code written in C#, MVC, .NET Core, or other object-oriented programming languages.

• Contribute to software development tasks that support SDLC automation and internal tooling.

• Implement and maintain automated testing processes, including unit, UI, and API testing.

• Support service-layer testing using tools such as Postman.

• Assist with troubleshooting production incidents, application issues, system outages, and deployment failures.

• Provide operational support to Software Engineers and QA Engineers while acting as a liaison between development and infrastructure teams.

• Collaborate with Systems Administrators and Network Engineers to standardize technologies, environments, and deployment practices.

• Work with relational databases to support application deployments, integrations, and troubleshooting.

• Apply IT security best practices, including encryption, certificate management, and key management.

• Research and implement improvements involving microservices, cloud computing, automation, and emerging DevOps technologies.

• Identify opportunities to reduce system complexity, improve pipeline efficiency, and strengthen infrastructure reliability.

• Establish and document technical standards, operational procedures, and DevOps best practices.

• Review technical work and contribute to engineering quality improvements under the direction of the DevOps Manager.

• Provide occasional evening or weekend support for production releases and critical system issues.

Requirements – Must-haves

• 3+ years of combined professional experience in DevOps, software development, or systems administration.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and infrastructure.

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Octopus Deploy.

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible.

• Experience building and managing containers using Docker.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

• Practical experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux operating systems.

• Experience developing automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash.

• Experience managing Git repositories, branching strategies, merging, and version control workflows.

• Ability to troubleshoot, review, and support code written in C#, MVC, .NET Core, or another object-oriented programming language.

• Experience with test automation, including unit, UI, and API testing.

• Ability to contribute to software development tasks supporting SDLC automation.

• Experience working with relational databases.

• Familiarity with API and service-layer testing using Postman or similar tools.
