They will also manage relationships with mailbox providers and blocklist operators while providing expert guidance on authentication and infrastructure audits.

About BlueConic:

At BlueConic, we’re reinventing how businesses grow by transforming customer data into real-time intelligence and action. As the creators of the industry’s first Customer Growth Engine (CGE), we help brands move beyond traditional CDPs to a smarter, faster model for growth that is powered by AI, built for privacy, and designed to create meaningful value across the customer lifecycle.

For our customers, none of that works if their email doesn’t reach the inbox. Our Success Services team is what keeps it there.

Senior Deliverability Strategist

We’re hiring a Senior Deliverability Strategist to own the customer-facing side of deliverability in Success Services, from onboarding and IP/domain warm-up through audits, remediation, and ongoing inbox-placement strategy. You’ll be the senior deliverability voice customers rely on, working directly with mailbox providers, blocklist operators, and industry bodies on their behalf, and partnering with our Lead Deliverability Analyst, who owns technical and operational execution. This is a highly client-facing role reporting to the Manager, Deliverability.

Location & Coverage

  • Based in Pune, India, working U.S. business hours to support our U.S. customers and their mailbox-provider escalations in real time.
  • As our customer base grows internationally, coverage will expand to additional time zones (including EU), so flexibility to shift or extend hours as the team scales is expected.

What you'll do

  • Own onboarding and warm-up: IP and domain warm-up for customers migrating to BlueConic, from plan design through execution and monitoring.
  • Lead deliverability audits: holistic reviews of a customer’s sending infrastructure, authentication, list hygiene, reputation, and program performance, delivered as a clear report with prioritized remediation steps.
  • Own incident response: serve as the escalation point for spam complaints, spam-trap hits, blocklistings, and ISP blocks, and drive them to resolution in real time.
  • Own ISP and industry relationships: build and maintain direct relationships with mailbox providers and postmasters (Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft), blocklist and anti-spam operators (Spamhaus), and industry bodies (M3AAWG), and negotiate on customers’ behalf during escalations.
  • Advise on authentication: guide customers through SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and BIMI, from setup requirements through troubleshooting.
  • Partner with the operational side: partner with the Lead Deliverability Analyst, who owns technical authentication and platform configuration, so customers get sound strategy and correct execution.
  • Triage and troubleshoot: read and interpret deliverability data (bounce logs, reputation, seed and inbox-placement) to triage issues and shape each customer’s plan, escalating deeper technical investigation when needed.
  • Report and present: create and present customer-facing reports and decks, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), monthly deliverability reports, and executive readouts, walking customers through findings and recommendations.
  • Drive migrations: partner with Success Services on fast, clean program migrations, setting and managing customer expectations throughout.
  • Level up the team: mentor other strategists and contribute to team playbooks, tooling, and best practices.
  • Stay ahead: track ISP policy changes and evolving sender requirements, and translate them into proactive guidance for customers and the team.

What You’ll Bring :

Communication and Customer Skills

  • Fluent, professional English, spoken and written. Essential for a customer-facing role with U.S. and international customers.
  • Excellent verbal and people skills; comfortable leading customer meetings, managing difficult conversations, and building trust with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong technical writing; able to explain a complicated incident clearly in a report a client executive can follow.
  • Skilled at building and delivering presentations, including decks for MBRs, monthly reports, and executive readouts presented directly to customers.
  • Confident in direct client interaction and explaining technical topics to non-technical audiences.

Deliverability and Email

  • 5+ years of hands-on, customer-facing email deliverability experience, including setting strategy for multiple B2B and B2C senders at once.
  • Track record leading ISP remediation and mediation directly with mailbox providers and blocklist operators.
  • Strong working understanding of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI), DNS, IP reputation, and mail flow, enough to advise customers and guide implementation.
  • Fluency with ISP filtering and blocklisting behavior and domain-specific sender guidelines (Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft, and others).
  • Working knowledge of deliverability tooling (eDataSource/Validity, Google Postmaster Tools) and sending platforms such as SparkPost, SendGrid, and Mailgun.
  • Hands-on email marketing experience across campaign strategy, segmentation, and list growth.
  • Solid grounding in CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, CCPA, and related compliance standards.
  • Experience with enterprise ESPs such as Iterable, Braze, Adobe Campaign, Eloqua, Responsys, Sailthru, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
  • Able to triage and troubleshoot from deliverability data and reports. Hands-on SQL or scripting is a plus, not required.

Ways of Working

  • Self-directed and calm under pressure, able to run multiple customer projects in parallel.
  • Based in Pune and able to work U.S. business hours, with flexibility to cover additional time zones (including EU) as the team grows.
  • BS in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Help build a category-defining Customer Growth Engine alongside a collaborative, professional technical and operational team.
