About the Role

Ledgebrook is seeking an experienced Senior/Data Quality Analyst to join our Product & Data team.  On this team, you’ll lead analytical efforts to analyze complex data to ensure its integrity and accuracy.  You will play a key role in driving organizational trust in reporting and analytics and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.  

As a Senior/Data Quality Analyst, you will collaborate with engineering, data excellence, pricing and analytics, finance, and compliance teams to improve data quality. A key part of your role will be proactively querying databases, reviewing data and dashboards, understanding data flow processes, and supporting implementation of data initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Safeguard Data Quality – Conduct deep-dive data investigations to identify, trace, and resolve root-cause inconsistencies across actuarial, finance, and operational datasets.
• Support Actuarial & Financial Reporting – Partner directly with actuarial and finance teams to validate data accuracy for reserving, modeling, and financial reporting needs.
• Build Dashboards & Monitoring Tools – Design, develop, and maintain automated Power BI dashboards and SQL queries to continuously track data integrity and key performance metrics.
• Optimize Workflows with AI & Automation – Integrate modern AI tools and automated pipelines into daily workflows to increase analytical efficiency and streamline reporting.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Work closely with Data Engineering, Product, and Finance teams to align data definitions, improve data models, and support system integrations (e.g., Workday/ERP).
• Drive Data Precision in a High-Growth Setting – Take full ownership of data quality initiatives, navigating startup ambiguity to keep Ledgebrook operating with unmatched precision.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• Insurance & Actuarial Data Expertise: 3+ years of experience analyzing insurance data, specifically supporting actuarial (reserving/modeling) or insurance finance functions.
• Strong Technical Toolkit: Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI for deep-dive analytical investigation, data modeling, and reporting.
• Actuarial Background or Progress: Former actuarial experience or active progress on actuarial exams.
• Root-Cause Data Investigation: Obsessive attention to detail with a relentless curiosity to investigate, trace, and resolve complex data inconsistencies.
• Startup Ownership & Drive: Self-starter mindset with strong accountability, built to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle ambiguity with speed and precision.

Nice to Haves:

• Financial Systems Integration: Experience connecting insurance data into ERP or financial systems (specifically Workday).
• Extended Tech Stack: Exposure to Snowflake, Python, Power Query, or leveraging AI tools to streamline day-to-day workflows.
• MGA Experience: Direct experience working within a true Managing General Agent (MGA) structure.
• FP&A Capabilities: Familiarity with financial planning and analysis workflows alongside core actuarial duties.

Compensation

Compensation:

• The base salary range for this position is $80,000-120,000. This is a good-faith compensation range based on what Ledgebrook reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
• Employees in this position are eligible to participate in Ledgebrook’s equity incentive program.
