We're tech-agnostic, but some of our most commonly used tools include Azure, GCP, AWS, Snowflake, dbt, and Databricks. In simple terms: we tech the heck out of data. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

As a Data Engineer at Recordly, you'll get your hands dirty building real data solutions; pipelines, platforms, and models that create tangible value for our customers. Your background can be in software engineering or already in the data world. We're a tech-agnostic consultancy, and we value broad data expertise over mastery of any single tool.

Technical requirements

Core expectations (you don’t need to tick every box, but most should feel familiar):

• Strong hands-on experience with modern data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft based data platforms, ideally more than one

• Deep understanding of data architecture patterns: Data Lakehouse, Medallion architecture, Data Mesh, or similar

• Experience designing and delivering large-scale ELT solutions and scalable data pipelines

• Strong data modeling skills across the spectrum: from dimensional modeling to modern approaches such as Data Vault 2.0

• Deep cloud expertise in at least one environment (Azure, AWS, GCP), including IaC practices (Terraform or similar)

• Solid DevOps/DataOps skills: CI/CD pipelines, testing, observability, and data quality management.
  

Nice to have:

• Experience with data governance: metadata management, data lineage, and data security practices

• Understanding of real-time data processing (Kafka, Spark Streaming, Flink, or similar)

• Experience with data infrastructure for GenAI or ML platforms: feature stores, vector databases, RAG architectures

• Ability to identify business opportunities within customer engagements and contribute to solution development from a commercial perspective

• Experience with BI tools and building semantic models (e.g. Power BI, Snowflake semantic layer, Omni, or similar).
  

What we're especially looking for right now:

• End-to-end expertise in Snowflake + dbt environments

• Enterprise-scale solutions built on Databricks.
  

Language requirements:
In addition to English, we require fluent written and spoken Finnish skills, as a significant part of our customer work is conducted in Finnish.

Location:
This role is based in Finland. Currently, we offer permanent remote work opportunities within the country. We cannot provide relocation support.
