We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Network Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud networking solutions. This role is responsible for supporting enterprise cloud environments with a primary focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while also contributing to Microsoft Azure integrations and hybrid cloud initiatives.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Architecture, and Development teams to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing cloud connectivity across global environments. The position plays a critical role in supporting cloud-native applications, driving infrastructure automation, and maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage secure and scalable cloud network architectures in GCP.
- Support cloud integration initiatives between GCP and Microsoft Azure.
- Configure and maintain Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) solutions in cloud environments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Implement automated cloud networking deployments following DevOps and GitOps practices.
- Design and optimize hybrid and multi-cloud networking solutions.
- Monitor network performance, latency, availability, and cost optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud-native application deployments.
- Maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational runbooks.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure meets established service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to cloud networking environments.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud networking and network engineering.
Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform networking services including VPC, Cloud VPN, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud Load Balancing, and Private Service Connect.
Experience with Microsoft Azure networking services.
Extensive experience with Palo Alto Networks and Next-Generation Firewall technologies.
Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
Knowledge of DevOps and GitOps practices.
Strong understanding of enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VPNs, and load balancing.
Experience supporting hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote and global environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification.
- Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer certification.
- Azure certifications are considered a plus.
