Join our international Clinical Operations team as a Senior Project Manager/Projects Director.
The Senior Project Manager/Projects Director is responsible for the strategic oversight, planning, and successful delivery of multiple projects or a full project portfolio, ensuring completion on time, on budget and within scope, while providing leadership and mentorship to project management staff.
Position is in any EU country.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for multiple projects or a project portfolio, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations
- Manage and coordinate efforts of cross-functional teams, including 3rd party vendors, to support milestone achievement and compliance with company procedures and regulations
- Oversee project budgets across the portfolio, including tracking, forecasting, identification of out-of-scope items, and oversight of change order preparation and negotiation
- Develop and review project plans (project management, communication, monitoring, risk mitigation, etc.) across assigned projects
- Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and project teams (internal resources and third parties/vendors)
- Serve as the primary escalation point and senior contact for sponsors, providing strategic updates on project and portfolio status
- Identify quality and performance issues at a portfolio level, implement corrective and preventive action plans, and drive continuous process improvement
- Provide input and lead development of proposals for new projects, including scoping, resourcing, and budgeting
- Drive business development efforts, including leading preparation for and participation in bid defense meetings
- Support line management responsibilities, including performance management, coaching, and development of direct reports
- Contribute to departmental strategy, process development, and cross-functional initiatives
Requirements
- Master's or higher degree in Life Science field preferred
- Fluent English language
- 8+ years' experience in Clinical Research (Healthcare, Sponsor organization or CRO), with significant experience managing multiple projects
- Proven project management and project team leadership experience, including managing project managers
- Line management experience required
- Experience in early phase clinical trials and oncology area is an advantage
- Strong reporting, time, budget, and risk management skills
- Demonstrated business development experience, including proposal development and bid defense participation
- Familiarity with standard business and eClinical systems (CTMS, EDC, IXRS, eTMF, and project planning tools)
