Senior Accessibility Lead

A leading organization and client in the health space is seeking a *Senior Accessibility Lead *to support a remote team. This *contract role* involves collaborating with cross-functional groups to embed accessibility into digital products, ensure conformance with *standards like WCAG, and drive remediation efforts. *There is no application deadline for this role. *Senior Accessibility Lead Responsibilities:* * Serve as the primary contact for accessibility across product, design, and engineering teams. * Educate stakeholders on accessibility requirements and influence defect resolution trends. * Coordinate accessibility reviews, prioritize remediation, and assess conformance against guidelines like WCAG 2.0, 2.1, and 2.2. * Translate accessibility findings into actionable feedback for teams and facilitate stakeholder review sessions. * Monitor defect patterns, identify recurring issues, and support remediation and validation processes. *Senior Accessibility Lead Qualifications:* * 5+ years of experience evaluating digital experiences from an end-user perspective with assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, Voice-over, and Talkback. * Will be required to do a quick assessment as part of the hiring process. * Deep understanding of WCAG standards, WAI-ARIA, and accessibility principles. * Proven ability to partner with diverse teams to promote accessibility best practices. * Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills. * Familiarity with web responsive design, mobile platforms, and modern digital delivery tools like JIRA, Rally, Teams, and Confluence. *Perks and Benefits:* * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. * Life Insurance. * 401(k) Program. * Commuter Benefit. * eLearning and Ongoing Training. * Education Reimbursement.
