At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll join a dedicated team providing world-class scientific expertise and support to customers. As a Field Applications Scientist, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers optimize their use of our advanced technologies across multiple scientific domains. Working closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners, you'll help customers achieve significant discoveries while building long-term relationships that drive business success. A Day in the Life:
You’ll deliver exceptional pre-sales and post-sales scientific support through product demonstrations, hands-on training, troubleshooting assistance, and technical consultation while developing strong relationships with customers and collaborating closely with sales and cross-functional teams.


What to expect:
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical and scientific support to customers.
• Deliver product demonstrations and hands-on customer training.
• Provide technical consultation and troubleshooting assistance.
• Support customers with qPCR technologies and applications.
• Assist customers with data analysis, experimental design, and method development.
• Adapt technical support and communication to different customer profiles and requirements.
• Collaborate closely with sales teams and cross-functional partners to support customers and business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships.
• Travel regularly to support customers, with willingness to travel 50% or more.



Keys to Success:
Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience
• 2+ years of relevant hands-on laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with qPCR technologies and applications.
• Experience with dPCR technologies and applications is a plus.
• Experience in data analysis, experimental design, and method development.
• Experience in technical training, customer support, or troubleshooting is a plus; previous Field Applications Scientist experience is not required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant scientific software.
• Clear scientific and technical communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to different customer profiles and needs.
• Customer-focused mindset and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Good commercial insight and attitude.
• Effective organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn.
• Fluent French and professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel 50% - 75% or more.
