Job DetailsJob Location: AZ, AZ 85029Salary Range: $22.00 - $26.00 HourlyScheduling Coordinator |Part-Time | Remote Gastro Care Partners (GCP) Schedule: Part-Time, up to 20 hours per week | Flexible Schedule Location: Fully Remote Compensation: Pay $22.00-$26.00 DOE (Depending on Experience) Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible About the Role Gastro Care Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Scheduling Coordinator to support centralized provider scheduling across our markets. This position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing schedules for physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), and CRNAs. The Scheduling Coordinator will work closely with market leaders, practice administrators, clinical leaders, and providers to ensure appropriate coverage, maximize provider utilization, identify scheduling gaps, and support patient access and operational efficiency. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with healthcare scheduling or practice operations experience who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and coordinating multiple priorities across a fast-paced, multi-market organization. What You'll Do Build and maintain 3- and 6-month provider schedules across GCP markets. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedule changes related to provider availability, PTO, call-outs, recruitment, onboarding, and patient demand. Ensure appropriate provider coverage across clinic, procedures, surgery, administrative time, and call. Review schedules to identify coverage gaps, conflicts, capacity constraints, and access concerns. Coordinate provider schedule changes across multiple markets and locations. Identify and coordinate CRNA coverage, including W-2, PRN, and locum providers, based on staffing and volume needs. Partner with market and clinical leaders to anticipate staffing and coverage needs. Monitor provider utilization, open capacity, and scheduling trends. Process provider PTO and schedule change requests accurately and timely. Maintain accurate scheduling records, calendars, templates, and systems. Communicate schedule changes and coverage needs to providers, leaders, and key stakeholders. Resolve scheduling issues and escalate complex concerns with recommended solutions. Analyze scheduling data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Prepare routine scheduling reports and updates for leadership. Support standardization and continuous improvement of centralized scheduling processes. Assist with additional scheduling, administrative, and operational projects as needed. What Success Looks Like In this role, success means: Provider schedules are accurate, timely, and well-coordinated. Coverage gaps and scheduling conflicts are identified and addressed proactively. Provider capacity and utilization are optimized. Scheduling requests are handled accurately and efficiently. Providers and market leaders receive timely, professional communication. Scheduling data is accurate and supports effective decision-making. Opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and patient access are identified and acted upon. QualificationsRequired Skills and Abilities Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams across multiple markets. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, APPs, operational leaders, and stakeholders. Ability to analyze staffing and scheduling data and translate findings into actionable recommendations. Strong judgment and ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines. Ability to anticipate operational issues and proactively develop solutions. Strong relationship-building and customer-service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize scheduling, workforce management, EMR, and other operational systems. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, operations, or related field preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare scheduling, provider scheduling, workforce management, practice operations, or a related healthcare environment. Experience supporting physician and/or APP schedules strongly preferred. Experience working across multiple locations, departments, or markets preferred. Experience with healthcare scheduling systems, EMRs, workforce management platforms, or related technology preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with operational data and use metrics to support decision-making.   Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and/or being stationary at a desk. Must be able to move around an office/healthcare environment on a consistent basis Consistently uses computers and relays information via email, messaging and phone. Must communicate with others and exchange information frequently and on an on-going basis.
