SAP Specialist (Remote, SAP inventory experience required)

Job Summary

The Supply Chain SAP Analyst supports SAP-based supply chain operations with a primary focus on inventory accuracy, transaction integrity, and audit readiness. This role executes SAP transactions, prepares inventory reports, supports physical inventory observations, and works closely with Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure system data aligns with physical inventory. The analyst plays a key role in variance investigation, reconciliation, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Transaction Execution & Inventory Support

• Execute and validate SAP transactions related to spare parts purchasing, inbound, outbound, transfers, and inventory adjustments.
• Ensure system postings accurately reflect physical inventory movements.
• Support SAP ↔ CargoWise / AT data alignment and reconciliation.

Inventory Accuracy & Audit Support

• Prepare frozen inventory listings for audits and physical inventory observations.
• Support auditor testing, including:
  • Sheet-to-floor and floor-to-sheet traceability
  • Serial number, quantity, and location verification
• Maintain strict inventory movement controls during audit observation windows.

Variance Analysis & Resolution

• Investigate inventory variances and document root causes (timing, labeling, movement, RMA status).
• Support recounts, data validation, and corrective actions as approved by Finance.
• Assist with updating systems and maintaining audit evidence after variance resolution.

Warehouse & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure proper labeling, segregation, and traceability of inventory.
• Coordinate with Finance, Ops, and Logistics on inventory status, corrections, and reporting.
• Support communication and documentation during audit and physical inventory events.

Process & Control Improvement

• Follow and reinforce inventory control SOPs and audit requirements.
• Identify recurring issues and support process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation for audits and internal controls.

Other tasks required by upper management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, IT, or related field (preferred).
• 2–4 years of experience in SAP inventory management, supply chain operations, or logistics support.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM or similar ERP systems.
• Experience supporting physical inventory counts or audits is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with WMS systems (CargoWise, AT, or similar) preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to analyze inventory variances and support root-cause investigations.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Organized, disciplined, and comfortable working in controlled audit environments.
• Ability to follow defined processes and escalation protocols.
• Bilingual in mandarin is a strong plus.
