About the Role

The Sales Solution Engineer is responsible for providing technical and industry expertise to the Sales team and customers throughout the pre-sales process. This role acts as the technical point of contact on customer engagements β€” coordinating pre-sales activities, creating and delivering tailored solution demonstrations, and ensuring a seamless transition to global services.

This is a role for someone who is technically sharp, customer-focused, and driven to grow β€” bringing a passion for technology and a collaborative spirit to every engagement.

Your Role Responsibilities? Here's What You'll Do.

  • Act as the technical point of contact on standard customer engagements β€” coordinating customer pre-sales meetings, determining technical requirements, and working with development teams in support of solution enhancements.
  • Create and present demonstrations of proposed solutions to key customer stakeholders β€” applying best practice knowledge and solution strategy to support validation and buy-in for the recommended approach.
  • Coordinate meetings with global services to transition key information β€” remaining actively involved in the process to ensure a seamless customer handoff and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Compose internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to the solution strategy β€” and provide technical responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs) in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Consistently provide input on how to improve internal efficiencies β€” growing knowledge and staying aware of best practices and market trends, and participating in trade shows, conferences, and events.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, services, and technical teams β€” supporting a seamless pre-sales process and contributing to a positive customer experience from initial engagement through solution validation.

Role Essentials

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science β€” or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the role, with technical sales experience required.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and general software implementation methodologies β€” with the ability to apply that knowledge to create compelling, solutions-based demonstrations for customer stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and use engaging, informative, and compelling presentation methodologies β€” with the ability to speak or write with ease, clarity, and impact using a communication style appropriate to the subject and audience.
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage projects to completion β€” with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and up to 10% travel time required.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology, emerging trends, and continuous learning β€” with a particular interest in AI and a natural curiosity that drives exploration, innovation, and problem-solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to consistently provide input on improving internal efficiencies β€” with experience identifying process improvements and contributing to the overall quality and effectiveness of the pre-sales organization.
  • Experience working with development teams in support of solution enhancements β€” with the ability to translate customer feedback and technical requirements into actionable input for product and engineering teams.
  • Experience participating in or supporting trade shows, conferences, or industry events β€” with a professional presence and the ability to represent the organization effectively in public-facing settings.

Pay Transparency

The base salary compensation range for this role is $97,925 – $109,749 per year. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a 30% commission on top of base pay. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors in accordance with applicable laws.
