Bookassist
THE COMPANY
Bookassist is a multi-award-winning and leading provider of online booking technology, distribution technology, web design and digital strategy services to the hotel industry internationally. Bookassist creates, manages and continuously optimises digital strategies for hotels and hotel groups. We drive our clients’ online business and seek to obtain higher and higher conversion to improve direct bookings on our clients’ hotel websites.
POSITION
Reporting to the VP Sales, you will be responsible for selling Bookassist BE and solutions based in Ireland but also targeting the UK market. You will generate new business through direct selling to hotel leads (both provided and sourced), attending trade shows and events, cold calling, conducting sales campaigns and networking with contacts in the industry. The successful candidate will ensure all agreed sales targets are met, or exceeded, by providing a steady supply of qualified leads, under pre-defined criteria. As this is a stand-alone role, it would suit a self-motivated individual that can harvest relationships quickly through persistent and targeted communication. Hospitality industry experience is a strong advantage. The successful candidate will possess an exceptional ability to think strategically and communicate effectively, focusing on overall client satisfaction and maintaining long term relationships that generate quality leads. This is a remote working role; however, the ideal candidate will be based in Ireland.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn, adopt, and adhere to Bookassist sales guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This includes maintaining and developing Bookassist’s CRM database in accordance with company standards.
- Assist with devising and implementing Sales Executive activities, as required. Qualify, develop, and manage leads through to demo stage, whether sourced or provided by Bookassist.
- Respond to and follow up all sales enquiries using appropriate methods as per the SOP.
- Develop and maintain a sales pre-demonstration pipeline of sufficient size to achieve agreed current year sales targets and be the foundation for future year successful achievement of sales targets.
- Ensure all monthly sales targets (KPIs) set by management and agreed on in advance are met or exceeded. This will necessitate some or all the following activities:
- Identifying the needs and wants of a potential client.
- Presenting Bookassist’s solution without misrepresentation.
- Handling objections from potential sales opportunities.
- Fulfilling reporting requirements to the Head of Sales & Marketing according to the set deadlines set learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Bookassist’s product portfolio and have an awareness of competitor products.
- Maintain an awareness of industry trends.
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
- Attend industry trade shows from time to time.
- Perform any other duties related to the promotion, sales and delivery of Bookassist’s products, or related third party products, from time to time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years’ experience in selling software or services to the same decision makers that Bookassist is selling to.
- Demonstrated experience in acquiring new business. (Sales managers with hotels could be an example)
- Establish effective relationships with senior decisions makers and influencers within all the identified target accounts.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing ability
- Knowledge of internet distribution.
- Understanding of the sales cycle and its impact on business.
- Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals.
- Good understanding of the ecosystem where Bookassist operates, pinpointing solutions for the company.
- Flexibility to upskill as the product and marketplace are changing while executing at high tempo.
- Fluency in English is essential.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Full driver’s licence required.
DESIRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Expertise in e-commerce and revenue management would be a help.
- Contacts in the hospitality / hotel industry would be an advantage.
- Experience with Hubspot CRM would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with hospitality software products and services would also be an advantage.
- Additional languages would be an advantage, i.e. Spanish, Italian and German.
- Bachelor’s degree desired.
