The lead will manage and deliver multiple software implementation projects while coordinating technical teams and client expectations. They are also responsible for mentoring junior staff and establishing repeatable, scalable project-delivery standards for the company.
Client Implementation Project Management Lead
Bickert Management Inc. (BMI) is seeking an experienced Client Implementation Lead to strengthen and scale the way we deliver software implementation projects for our clients.
This is not a traditional project-coordinator role.
We are looking for someone who already knows how to lead software implementations, manage scope and delivery risk, coordinate technical teams, maintain accountability, and drive projects toward successful outcomes.
Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who can build this capability beyond themselves by mentoring developing implementation personnel and helping BMI create a repeatable, scalable project-delivery function.
BMI is a Canadian business consulting and technology implementation company. We help organizations improve their operations through CRM, automation, workflow design, business software, and related technology solutions.
Much of our work involves the Zoho platform, although previous Zoho experience is preferred rather than required.
Our clients need more than software configuration. They need their business objectives translated into organized implementation plans, technical work coordinated effectively, risks identified early, progress made visible, and projects driven toward completion.
BMI is not hiring this person to join a large, established project-management department and learn an existing methodology from more senior project managers.
In this area, you will be the senior implementation-management authority.
BMI already has experienced client-service personnel, technical specialists, and operational systems. However, we are intentionally strengthening the discipline that connects those resources into consistently well-managed client implementations.
We are therefore looking for someone who can arrive with proven methods, judgment, and confidence and help define how this function should operate.
You should be comfortable:
Taking ownership without waiting for someone else to show you how the role is performed
Assessing existing practices and identifying what needs to change
Establishing practical standards, routines, templates, controls, and expectations for implementation management
Teaching existing team members how to work effectively within those standards
Creating clarity where processes are incomplete or inconsistent
Making informed decisions and setting the pace for the function
Building a system that other implementation professionals can later learn and follow
You will have support from BMI's existing team, but you should not expect to be trained by an established group of implementation managers.
We are hiring you because you already know how this should work.
Over time, one measure of your success will be that the implementation-management capability you establish becomes teachable, repeatable, and no longer dependent on you personally.
You will take responsibility for the successful management and delivery of assigned client implementations.
Your work may include:
Leading multiple software implementations simultaneously
Working alongside BMI's client-service leadership to provide implementation leadership, project control, and delivery coordination
Leading or supporting business process mapping and translating client workflows and requirements into milestones, tasks, priorities, dependencies, and acceptance criteria
Preparing for and leading appropriate portions of client project meetings
Coordinating technicians, developers, consultants, and other contributors
Monitoring scope, hours, progress, risks, dependencies, deadlines, and expected outcomes
Identifying problems early and developing corrective action plans
Challenging unclear estimates, missed commitments, delays, or assumptions when necessary
Ensuring ownership and accountability are clear across the project team
Managing client expectations and communicating difficult information professionally
Coordinating testing, approvals, go-live activities, and project completion
Maintaining reliable project documentation and visibility
Helping improve BMI's implementation-management processes and standards
You will be expected to exercise judgment and leadership, not simply maintain a task list.
BMI uses complementary roles to support successful client delivery.
Our client-service leadership helps maintain strong client relationships, communication, and continuity. The Client Implementation Lead focuses more deeply on implementation planning, coordination, execution control, accountability, and successful project outcomes.
You must therefore be capable of communicating professionally with North American clients, but you will not be expected to operate as BMI's sole client-facing representative.
BMI also maintains experienced technical leadership responsible for developing and mentoring our technical specialists.
Your role is not to become BMI's senior developer or to train technicians in advanced technical skills.
However, strong technical literacy is a significant asset. You should be capable of understanding implementation constraints, communicating intelligently with technical specialists, asking informed questions, and recognizing when technical issues affect scope, timelines, cost, quality, or delivery risk.
An important responsibility of this role is helping BMI decentralize implementation-management capability.
We do not want critical project-management knowledge, judgment, or client-delivery capability concentrated in a single person.
You will therefore help develop interns, junior implementation specialists, and other developing project-management personnel through real client work.
Our goal is progressive responsibility:
observing → documenting → coordinating → presenting → leading → independently owning client work
Mentoring should occur wherever practical through actual implementation delivery: supervised client work, delegation, review, coaching, project-health discussions, and progressively greater ownership.
Your success will not be measured only by the projects you personally manage.
Over time, success also means creating other people who can manage implementations effectively.
Technical skill development is handled separately by BMI's technical leadership. Your mentoring responsibility is primarily focused on:
Project-management judgment
Planning and organization
Scope and effort management
Risk identification
Client delivery
Communication
Accountability
Decision-making
Project recovery
Delegation and leadership
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience in software implementation, SaaS implementation, technology consulting, professional services, or technology project management
Significant direct responsibility for external client implementations
Experience managing several active projects simultaneously
Strong spoken and written English
Confidence communicating professionally with North American business clients
Experience coordinating developers, technical consultants, configuration specialists, or comparable technical personnel
Strong understanding of scope, effort, timelines, dependencies, risk, and delivery
Experience with business process mapping, requirements discovery, and translating current-state and desired future-state workflows into implementation plans
Sufficient technical literacy to understand implementation constraints and intelligently challenge assumptions
The ability to recognize when a project is beginning to go off track and intervene early
The judgment to distinguish between technical problems, planning problems, client dependencies, and execution problems
Strong organizational discipline and documentation habits
A willingness to hold yourself and others accountable for commitments
An interest in developing people rather than protecting knowledge as a source of personal dependency
Experience building repeatable processes, playbooks, or operating systems
Experience with Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, ERP systems, CRM implementation, workflow automation, or similar business-software platforms would be valuable.
Direct Zoho experience is an advantage, but proven implementation leadership matters more to us than familiarity with one particular product.
₹2,500–₹3,000 per billable hour, depending on demonstrated experience and capability.
This is a deliberately different compensation model from a conventional fixed annual salary.
BMI is willing to pay a premium hourly rate for productive, client-funded work rather than offering the same level of compensation in exchange for guaranteed paid availability regardless of demand.
This model can create substantial earning potential for a strong implementation professional when client volume and utilization are high.
For illustration:
60 billable hours per month × ₹2,500/hour = ₹150,000 per month = ₹18 lakh annualized
80 billable hours per month × ₹2,500/hour = ₹200,000 per month = ₹24 lakh annualized
100 billable hours per month × ₹2,500/hour = ₹250,000 per month = ₹30 lakh annualized
100 billable hours per month × ₹3,000/hour = ₹300,000 per month = ₹36 lakh annualized
120 billable hours per month × ₹3,000/hour = ₹360,000 per month = ₹43.2 lakh annualized
These examples illustrate earning potential rather than guaranteed compensation. Annualized figures assume the illustrated monthly utilization is maintained for 12 months.
This is not a guaranteed 40-hour paid workweek.
Compensation varies with productive client utilization, and candidates should carefully consider whether that model aligns with what they are looking for before applying.
For the right professional, the opportunity is to earn considerably more per productive hour than a conventional salaried-equivalent rate.
Billable work is not limited to time spent directly speaking with a client.
Client-specific activities necessary to successfully deliver an active project may be billable, including:
Project planning
Requirements analysis
Business process mapping and workflow analysis
Project organization
Meeting preparation
Technician coordination
Project review
Risk and dependency management
Client-specific documentation
Testing and UAT coordination
Scope evaluation
Delivery follow-up
Project recovery and corrective planning
General professional development, learning fundamental project-management skills, idle availability, or unrelated internal activity is not considered client-billable work.
We are hiring someone who already possesses the professional capability necessary to perform this role.
Naturally, every new team member must learn BMI's systems, processes, clients, terminology, and operating model. However, this role is not intended for someone who first needs BMI to teach them how to become a project manager.
BMI is headquartered in Alberta, Canada, and primarily serves North American clients.
The successful candidate must therefore provide meaningful working-hour overlap with Alberta Time (UTC−6) for client meetings, project coordination, and delivery activity.
This does not necessarily require following a conventional Canadian 9-to-5 schedule every day. However, reliable availability during agreed client-facing windows is essential.
Candidates in India should carefully consider the time-zone requirements of the position before applying.
Success in this role will include:
Projects delivered on time and within expected effort
Strong client communication and satisfaction
Problems identified before they become crises
Reduced rework and project confusion
Clear project ownership and accountability
Reliable documentation and project visibility
Strong coordination between client-service and technical teams
Greater confidence in BMI's ability to accept and successfully deliver additional work
Successful development of junior implementation-management personnel
Increasing delegation of routine project-management work without declining quality
Reduced organizational dependency on any one individual
This position is probably not a good fit if you are primarily looking for:
A guaranteed fixed salary regardless of utilization
A guaranteed 40-hour paid workweek
A role focused mainly on scheduling meetings and updating project-management software
Extensive paid training before you can independently perform the core responsibilities
A position in which difficult delivery problems or client conversations are always handled by someone else
A role where technical team members determine project direction without appropriate project-management challenge
A primarily hands-on developer position
A role where you expect to observe an established team and simply follow an existing project-management playbook
Personal job security based on being the only person who knows how something works
We value people who make themselves more valuable by building successful projects, capable colleagues, and repeatable systems—not by making the organization dependent upon them.
This role offers an unusual combination of:
Premium hourly earning potential
Compensation closely connected to productive contribution
Direct influence over client outcomes
Significant professional autonomy
Exposure to varied business and technology implementations
Leadership and mentoring responsibility
The opportunity to build and define a project-delivery capability, not simply occupy a seat within an established one
Career growth based on demonstrated capability and organizational impact
The opportunity to help develop the next generation of BMI implementation professionals
For the right person, this is an opportunity not only to manage successful implementations, but to help establish the standards, systems, and people through which BMI can deliver them consistently at scale.
