The Revenue Integrity Analyst supports the Revenue Integrity Department and is responsible for the maintenance and optimization of entity charge masters, revenue usage reporting, and charge capture processes. This role partners closely with Hospital Service Lines and Revenue Cycle departments to ensure accurate maintenance, reporting, and operational support within the Epic Hospital Billing system.

Key responsibilities include analyzing charge master data, monitoring revenue utilization, and supporting charging workflows to promote compliance, consistency, and reimbursement optimization. The analyst will assist with financial analyses that detail gross and net revenue impacts, helping to ensure standardized charging methodologies, market competitiveness, regulatory compliance, and maximum reimbursement opportunities.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle functions and charging practices. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and Revenue Codes is highly preferred. Experience supporting clinical and operational workflows in areas such as Rehabilitation Therapy, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Laboratory Services, Respiratory Care, Wound Care, Nutrition Services, Endoscopy/GI, Emergency Department, and other hospital service lines is highly desirable.

 

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and data analysis tools, is preferred.

Charge Process Department is responsible for entity charge masters and revenue usage reports. Support both internal and external customers on all aspects of maintenance and reporting from the five chargemaster patient accounting systems which house nine different chargemasters within the system. Performs financial analysis detailing gross and net revenue impacts to ensure consistent charging methodologies, market sensitivity and maximum reimbursement are coordinated.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for providing financial and systems analysis to all Revenue Cycle areas, which may include patient accounting, CDM (charge description master), financial performance reporting, registration, collections, scheduling and electronic billing systems.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides variance analysis of budget vs. actual results for assigned areas, providing explanations of the causes of any material variances.
  • Develops and prepares management reports utilizing reporting capabilities of various revenue cycle systems.
  • Works directly with the Management staff on development of procedures and processes, and serves as a liaison between departments.
  • Utilizes key business skills to guide project leadership and team members in achieving the stated business objectives.
  • Structures and conducts best practice research, process analyses, benchmarking and performance baseline measurement activities.
