The Resource Mobilization Coordinator manages the implementation of the organization's fundraising strategy by coordinating proposal development, donor reporting, and relationship management. They work across regional and functional teams to diversify funding pipelines and communicate the political impact of the organization's movement-strengthening work.

About JASS

Just Associates (JASS) is a feminist movement strengthening organisation rooted in the majority world. Founded in 2001 by activist organisers, researchers, popular educators and movement thinkers, we work to build, strengthen and accompany movements across Southeast Asia, Southern Africa, and Mesoamerica, anchored in feminist popular education (FPE).

Our vision is a just, liberated and sustainable world where all people are free, safe and fully resourced, and where the planet and all living beings are well cared for. Our mission is to strengthen women's leadership, organising capacity and the long-term collective power of movements — what we call building "Just Power." JASS' political project draws from long herstories of activism and decolonial political perspectives, informed by an intersectional analysis of power that shapes both who we are and how we build movement power.

We build the power of movements, but we are not ourselves a movement. Instead, we bring our own political knowledge and strategically discern where best to put our efforts for greater impact. We prioritise working with activists and Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs), young women, women workers, LBTQI+, Indigenous women, rural women, urban women, HIV+ women, sex workers and women defending land and territory.

JASS advances four interconnected Global Agendas across three regions, connecting local, national, regional and global action:

1. Shaping Civic Space & Collective Safety — countering rising authoritarianism and imperialism.

2. Bodies–Rights–Freedoms — countering rising fundamentalism in all its forms.

3. Feminist Economic & Climate Justice — countering extractivism and exploitative economic models.

4. Feminist Popular Education to strengthen movements — countering the deliberate weakening of movement infrastructure.

Diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of who we are. Our staff of 34 and broader Community of Practice represent diverse geographies, cultures, faiths, generations, races, abilities, sexual orientations and gender identities, and our internal structures reflect shared principles of intersectionality and accountability to movements.

Position Overview

The Resource Mobilisation Coordinator supports the implementation of JASS’ resource mobilisation strategy by coordinating funding opportunities, proposal development, donor reporting, relationship management systems and fundraising communications across the organisation.

Working closely with the Resource Mobilisation Director, regional teams and relevant functional teams, the Coordinator ensures that JASS has the systems, information and processes needed to build and diversify its funding pipeline, secure and sustain aligned funding partnerships, and communicate the political significance of its work to current and prospective funders. The position does not have direct staff reports, except sometimes coordinating interns or consultants on short-term agreements.

The role contributes to positioning JASS as a majority-world-led feminist movement-strengthening organisation, making the case for long-term, flexible and adequate resourcing of feminist movements and the movement infrastructure required for collective transformation.

The Coordinator brings strong writing, coordination, research and organisational skills, alongside a commitment to JASS’ feminist politics and its approach to the ethics and redistribution of resources.

  • Support the development of a coherent institutional case for support, ensuring proposals articulate JASS’ political analysis, theory of change, feminist popular education, long-term political accompaniment and movement-strengthening approach.

  • Maintain proposal templates, institutional information, organisational data and other core materials required for efficient and consistent fundraising.

About us

JASS is a feminist movement support organisation that strengthens the voice, visibility, leadership and collective organising power of women for a just and sustainable world for all. We equip and strengthen the leadership and organising capacity of women leaders and their organisations in Mesoamerica, Southeast Asia, and Southern Africa.

Our feminist movement building work supports marginalised women leaders (indigenous and rural land defenders, sex workers, garment workers, LBTQI+, HIV+, and young activists) in critically unpacking the power dynamics affecting their lives from the personal to the public, from the local to the global, as to change the systems, structures and beliefs that perpetuate inequity, injustice, and violence. Our approach enables the conditions for women to organise, mobilise and transform power in four areas of their lives: Bodies, Voice, Resources, and Safety.

Our commitment to transforming power in the world starts with how we organise and operate internally. Diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of who we are and how we were founded. We have an intersectional staff and shared leadership structure that represents diverse geographies, cultures, faiths, generations, races, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and includes activists grounded in country-level organising and movements. We strive for internal structures, policies, and practices that value the range of knowledge held in this diversity and that reflect shared principles and accountability to our mission.
