The Regional Project Manager is responsible for the overall profitability of projects, managing budgets, and ensuring operational goals are met. They provide both remote and on-site support while coordinating with technicians, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful project implementation.

Position Summary:
Fulfill an important role in the organization to increase overall profitability of the Project Department, while motivating and assisting the Installation Technicians to be successful in their role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has direct overall responsibility for profit and loss of Projects and achieving operational and service goals
- Provide both remote and on-site project management and technical support for clients throughout the United States
- Apply project/program life cycle concepts to keep projects on time and in budget
- Become thoroughly knowledgeable and technically proficient with the AMI software and technology products
- Represent AMI by leading and coordinating project meetings, schedules and documentation
- Run effective meetings
- Manage customer expectations and maintain strong relationships with clients, branch and dealer personnel and subcontractors
- Manage and coordinate all branch, dealer and subcontractor personnel and scheduling during project implementations
- Provide technical and training information, and tailor supporting documentation to suit the needs of each specific client and property
- Work closely with our software support department to identify and resolve software/hardware problems. Prepare for and anticipate challenges to ensure that all project issues are resolved efficiently and proactively
- Manage and maintain client project files including system documentation, as-built drawings and supporting documentation
- Support team initiatives and assist teammates as needed
- Apply sound judgment in escalating issues as and where needed
- Use effective communication that creates a collaborative environment with all parties that the Project Team interacts with.
- Help the team accomplish results by communicating job expectations; plan, monitor and appraise job results; coach, counsel and discipline employees; develop, coordinate and enforce systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards
- Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent information; identify and evaluate trends and options; define objectives; choose a course of action; evaluate progress so that outcomes are in line with overall objectives
- Work with department and company leadership to establish financial objectives by forecasting; preparing annual budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiate corrective action where appropriate
- Maintain quality projects by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyze and resolve quality and customer service problems; identify trends; recommend system improvements
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops or training; review professional publications; participate in professional societies
- Create a positive work environment for all parties
- Create effective solutions to meet or exceed client's expectations through collaborative planning with all necessary and/or related departments within the AMI organization
- Provide leadership that creates a environment of unity with all inner-office personnel.
- Assist sales during the bidding process to formulate solutions and perform site review for install labor estimates and subcontractor work
- Coordinate labor requirements and scheduling with Operations Manager to maximize profitability of each project
- Interface with customer during entire project to show strong management practices
- Prepare weekly office project meetings
- Research new hardware, devices and tools to provide better system solutions and installation efficiency
- Maintain up to date accurate records of all costing associated with projects
- Maintain and verify time sheets
- Verify inventory transfers to projects
- Order software, hardware etc.... as needed
- Issue purchase orders to subcontractors as needed
- Understand and comply with all license and permit regulations
- Track inbound delivery and coordinate site delivery
- Work with sales to establish a written scope of work for all subcontractors
- Obtain price quotes from subcontractors to ensure contract agreements are in place and insurance requirements are met for all subcontractors prior to beginning work
- Supervise all subcontractor work
- Create and update project schedules using an industry standard format
- Perform monthly reviews of all projects with Corporate accounting team
- Keep labor costs within budget
- Coordinate and manage all customer training for project
- Additional Duties as assigned
