You will configure and deliver end-to-end finance automation processes, including account reconciliation, journal entry, and ERP integrations. Additionally, you will manage unit testing, defect fixing, and provide support through go-live and hypercare phases.
Contract: Duration being confirmed. Start: 15 November 2026. Location: Remote. Open to consultants based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Czechia. Day rate: GBP 350 in the UK. Language: English.
An established organisation is automating its finance operations on Redwood Finance Automation. The work covers the record-to-report cycle: the period-end close, account reconciliation, journal processing and the reporting that follows, all connected to the organisation's ERP.
You will build what the solution design sets out. You will configure the close and reconciliation processes, build the integrations with the ERP and the systems around it, and carry each process through testing, go-live and early support.
Close processes built and configured end to end: task lists, dependencies, approvals and the automated steps between them. Automated account reconciliation, including matching rules and exception handling. Journal entry automation, from data preparation and validation through to posting in the ERP. Integration with SAP S/4HANA or ECC and other source systems, through standard connectors, file and API interfaces. Intercompany, accrual and reclassification steps automated alongside the close. Workflow logic in REL or JavaScript where the standard designer does not meet the requirement. Unit and integration testing, defect fixing, and support through user acceptance testing. Promotion between environments, cutover and hypercare. Technical documentation and handover to the support team.
Hands-on delivery on Redwood Finance Automation (RunMyFinance), where you built close, reconciliation or journal processes yourself on at least one live implementation. 5 or more years in finance systems or automation engineering. Working knowledge of SAP FI/CO postings and master data, or the Oracle equivalent, and where ERP integrations tend to break. Workflow scripting in REL or JavaScript, and hands-on ERP integration. A finance-side understanding of the record-to-report cycle and month-end controls.
Useful but not essential:
Redwood RunMyJobs workload automation. BlackLine, Trintech, or SAP Advanced Financial Closing. A current Redwood certification. Financial services or another regulated industry, including work under SOX or similar audit controls.
