Recruiting Consultant | Remote, EST or CST preferred
About the Role
We’re looking for a Recruiting Consultant to join our team and take ownership of the full-cycle recruiting process for direct-hire positions. In this role, you’ll serve as both a hands-on recruiter and a trusted partner to clients and hiring managers—bringing strong recruiting expertise, market insight, and a high level of service to every search.
You’ll work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, identify and engage top talent, and guide candidates through the interview and offer process. This is a great opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys having a voice in the hiring process and wants to build meaningful client relationships while delivering results.
What You’ll Do
Full-Cycle Recruiting
Manage the recruiting process for assigned direct-hire positions from intake through placement.
Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, team structure, priorities, and ideal candidate profiles.
Develop creative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, referrals, databases, and other recruiting channels.
Identify, engage, and build relationships with both active and passive candidates.
Conduct thorough candidate interviews and assess qualifications, experience, motivation, compensation expectations, and overall fit.
Present qualified candidates to clients with thoughtful candidate summaries and relevant recruiting insights.
Guide candidates through the interview process, including preparation, scheduling, follow-up, feedback, and offer negotiations.
Maintain consistent communication with candidates to deliver a positive candidate experience.
Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
Leverage ATS/CRM systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting technology to manage searches and recruiting activity.
Maintain accurate and timely candidate and search documentation.
Client & Hiring Manager Partnership
Serve as a recruiting partner and primary point of contact for assigned searches.
Build credibility and strong relationships with hiring managers through consistent communication and high-quality candidate delivery.
Lead or participate in intake meetings to develop a thorough understanding of each search.
Provide regular updates on recruiting activity, candidate pipelines, market conditions, challenges, and anticipated timelines.
Set realistic expectations around candidate availability, compensation, time-to-fill, and other market considerations.
Gather hiring-manager feedback and use it to refine recruiting strategies and candidate searches.
Provide clients with market intelligence related to compensation, talent availability, candidate expectations, and competitive hiring activity.
Proactively identify challenges within a search and recommend solutions to keep the process moving.
Recognize additional hiring needs and opportunities within client relationships and communicate them to the appropriate Sales or Account Management partner.
Business & Team Partnership
Partner closely with Sales and Account Management to align recruiting efforts with overall client strategy.
Support client retention and growth by providing exceptional recruiting service.
Collaborate with fellow recruiters and recruiting leadership to share market knowledge, sourcing strategies, and candidate leads.
Participate in client meetings and presentations when recruiting expertise is needed.
Help develop recruiting strategies for difficult-to-fill and specialized positions.
Represent the company professionally with clients, candidates, and external partners.
What You Bring
3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a staffing, recruiting agency, or similar client-facing environment.
Experience recruiting for direct-hire/permanent positions.
Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates.
Experience working directly with hiring managers and/or clients.
Strong interviewing, candidate assessment, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously.
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive recruiting assignments forward.
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and expectation-management skills.
Experience using an ATS/CRM and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Why This Role?
This is more than a traditional recruiting position. You’ll have the opportunity to influence hiring strategy, advise clients, build talent pipelines, and own the recruiting process from start to finish. If you’re an experienced recruiter who enjoys both the candidate side and the client side of recruiting—and takes pride in being a true partner rather than simply filling requisitions—this role could be a great fit.
