Reconciliations Clerk

Salary: R23 000 – R25 000 per month

Remote Recruitment is hiring a Reconciliations Clerk for a UK-based employer, fully remote from South Africa.

Role overview

Remote Recruitment places South African talent with UK employers, and this is a full-time, 100% remote position working UK business hours. In this role, you will own bank and supplier reconciliations so a UK finance team can trust its numbers. You will join a friendly team, work with clear processes, and have the support you need to do your best work from home.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile bank accounts to the ledger daily or weekly
• Match payments to invoices and investigate differences
• Prepare supplier statement reconciliations
• Post adjusting entries for approval
• Keep a clear log of open reconciling items

What you'll need

• Experience with bank or ledger reconciliations, with examples of clearing variances
• Familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
• Strong Excel skills
• A reliable laptop, stable fibre internet and a quiet workspace
• Availability for 09:00–17:00 UK time (11:00–19:00 SAST)

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-currency accounts
• Familiarity with Dext or Hubdoc
• Experience with month-end checklists
