Review property claim files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy terms and company guidelines. Evaluate estimates to confirm correct scope, pricing, and coverage while identifying errors and providing coaching to adjusters.
We are seeking a QA Unit File Reviewer to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will review claim files and make sure estimates are written accurately and in line with the guidelines and coverage under the policy. This position suits a highly detail-oriented professional with prior and/or current field experience handling property claims and preparing estimates.
• Attention to Detail: Catches errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in claim files and estimates, and holds work to a high standard of accuracy.
• Technical Claims Expertise: Applies deep knowledge of residential property claims, homeowners policy language, and coverage to evaluate file handling.
• Estimating Proficiency: Reviews and validates scope and pricing with confidence in Xactimate and sound estimating principles.
• Analytical Thinking: Reviews data and file results to spot trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Communication: Explains findings clearly and professionally, in writing and verbally, to both new and seasoned adjusters.
• Coaching and Feedback: Gives constructive, specific feedback that builds adjuster skills and improves file quality.
• Sound Judgment: Makes fair, well-supported decisions when guidelines, coverage, and file facts need interpretation.
• Time Management and Organization: Manages a steady review workload and meets deadlines in a remote setting.
• Integrity and Compliance: Upholds regulatory, ethical, and company standards in every file review.
• Adaptability: Works effectively in a growing organization and adjusts to new tools, guidelines, and priorities.
• Review property claim files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policy terms and company guidelines
• Evaluate estimates to confirm scope, pricing, and coverage are applied correctly under the homeowners policy
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and leakage, and document findings clearly
• Help develop and maintain QA standards, checklists, and best practices
• Support training and coaching efforts based on review findings
• 5+ years of residential property claims experience
• Prior and/or current field experience handling property claims and preparing estimates
• Proficiency in Xactimate
• Working knowledge of the insurance industry
• Solid knowledge of homeowners policies and coverage
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
• Comfortable with computers and standard business software
The anticipated base range for this position is $78,000-$85,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors including location, relevant experience, and qualifications.
