Job Summary

Job Description

We are looking for a Public Health Program Coordinator to support the coordination and management of public health fatality review teams and related programs. This position will be a full-time and is available as remote work.

Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered.

What You’ll Do

• Request and collect records for local and state-level fatality review teams, including medical records, death investigation records, Prescription Drug Monitoring Program records, educational records, and law enforcement records, on a weekly basis

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track and organize record requests and track case review progress

• Enter case information into the national OFR database on a weekly basis

• Assist in managing grants and meeting reporting requirements

• Communicate local SOFR team status and needs to Division Director

• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Knowledge of the organization and function of state and local health agencies

• Ability to communicate complex public health theories and principles, both verbally and in writing

• Ability to coordinate and maintain effective working relationships with other program stakeholders in both the private and public sectors

• Ability to evaluate and interpret data

• Demonstrated time-management skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete tasks

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate with a team for joint projects

• Demonstrated experience with managing multiple ongoing projects while successfully completing work assignments

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office PowerPoint; Word; Excel; Publisher or Access

Physical Demands 

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

• Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

• Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person

• Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
