Summary:

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Public Health Analyst IV to provide financial analysis support for the Office of the Director (OD).


Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide comprehensive financial analysis and budget execution/planning support to Program Resource Managers (PRM) and Program Managers (PMO).
  • Independently compile, reconcile, and analyze funding data from multiple financial systems into Excel documents, often under tight deadlines.
  • Reconcile and monitor actual versus budgeted spend plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop, process, and track financial records and reports using CDC systems (RMS, ICE, APEX, CBRA/OASys).
  • Prepare and maintain DHQP branch status-of-funds reports, spend plans, and ad hoc reports.
  • Compile, reconcile, and analyze commitments, obligations, and projections to support budgeting and funding requirements.
  • Work with budget team and program managers to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Periodically prepare analyses of future financial needs across staffing, travel, shipping, supplies, and contracts.
  • Support end-of-year closeout activities and translate financial data into reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate with and guide other program resource managers and financial analysts.
  • Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC's mission.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and work professionally and collegially with a highly educated, scientific customer base that is under pressure and in the public eye every day.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, be solution-oriented, motivated, and committed to customer and company success.
  • Ability to handle a variety of constituencies, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a complex environment while balancing multiple competing priorities.
  • Expertise in project management tools and software, including but not limited to: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and OneNote.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with the government procedures and guidelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in program analysis, public health, healthcare, research, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

 

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $125,000 annually.
