About the Role
The Veterinary Application for Uniform Licensure Transfer (VAULT) Program provides licensure verification services to veterinary regulatory boards, on behalf of veterinarians and veterinary technicians. The VAULT Program Manager owns the full program lifecycle from discovery to delivery. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of user needs, business goals, and cross-functional execution. You will define the program’s vision, build roadmaps, and work alongside senior leadership to design, evolve, and market to launch successful services. Along with the Sr. Manager of Programs, the Program Manager will develop and implement an annual vision plan that aims to support and advance veterinary medicine regulation.
VAULT is supported by a highly adaptive team that consistently seeks to improve and meet service goals. The VAULT Program Manager leads a collaborative team of five direct reports, supporting them in their day-to-day work while focusing on the big picture.
This is a highly visible role that works with many internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Vision: Define and communicate a clear vision and long-term roadmap aligned with the organization’s goals.
Member, Customer & Market Research: Develop mechanisms to routinely gather feedback from Members and licensees, analyze trends in regulation and the veterinary industry, and assess other industry offerings to identify gaps and opportunities.
Execution & Delivery: Translate the organization’s strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and specifications for cross-functional teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner daily with leadership, technology, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth operations.
Data & Metrics: Track performance of services using key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics and data analysis to guide future program iterations and improvements.

The Program Manager, VAULT is a full-time and exempt position. Work is performed under the direction of the Senior Manager of Programs.
Salary range: $64,000 - $68,000
The AAVSB is headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri. This position may be virtual/remote with the understanding that there will be required company-paid travel to Kansas City, Missouri, and other locations throughout the year.
